Re: Is it time to stop taking the knee...?

It is a sad state of affairs, when two things we rely on, or maybe I should say, have become reliant on are one the main causes of the divide we find ourselves in... That is the media and statistics...The media consistantly report the "facts" (as they interpret them) using statistics that support th...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 21st June) - Leeds United's search for a left back continues

And what about Van Aanholt for left back? Free transfer and starter for Holland in the last three games. Great energy on the left and does well with the pressing with the other Dutch players. Maybe a cheap option if we can’t get the left backs we want. Definately a cheap option...however 30 years o...

Re: Is it time to stop taking the knee...?

Look Smudge, this is going around in a circle and is probably boring others silly. I find it bizarre that you keep twisting my words. I don’t support BLM. I have simply said that the growth in support for a group like this, however imperfect, is an indication that black people want a vehicle for ch...

The use of AND at the start of a sentence is just an impactful w...

Re: Is it time to stop taking the knee...?

One would think that this is all about Black vs White, but we overlook other nations who have active segregation according to their laws, beliefs and traditions. What about the Eastern Europeans and Asians (and how many nations and colours do we have to talk about from there) and the numerous caste...

Re: Is it time to stop taking the knee...?

Firstly I never said that I supported the BLM movement, but I can understand why it draws support. Everything you say about taking the knee is your opinion Smudge, which is fine. But I am surprised that you have less of an issue with the Black Power symbol of the clinched fist as less objectionable...

I have no idea how you could take from what I wrote that I take umbrage with anyone who holds a different opinion to me! That is simply not true. On your second point Smudge, you specifically asked me my opinion on taking the knee and I gave it to you. Now, for some reason, you seem agitated by my ...

Re: Key factor sees Leeds as most likely side to sign Real Madrid veteran Marcelo

I don't know how many of you watch la liga But I am from Spain and Marcelo right now is an ex-footballer He had his worst season in years. He doesn't run, he doesn't press He misses a lot of passes and makes a lot of errors ni defence. Madrid has won a lot of games more when Marcelos is off the pit...

Re: Key factor sees Leeds as most likely side to sign Real Madrid veteran Marcelo

Finances better spent elsewhere. Marcello will want a pension signing at his age. He can't speak the language so Higgins will need a translator to follow them around. Mentoring is a delicate process involving a hell of a lot more than putting two people who play the same position together. Good poi...
