Re: Gary Speed - Ten Years Ago Today

I will be honest it fuckin* broke me at the time. How could a handsome, great footballing family man do that to his family? It fuc*s me off even to this day. I just didn't get it and still don't. R.I.P

Re: Junior Firpo

Still early days for the kid. I said he may not like the weather but its looking like he may not be suited to the English game. He looks like he needs plenty of time and space to sort his head out. He may have got that at Barca where teams sat back with the slow build up play but teams are attacking...

Re: Whats gone wrong . .

Square pegs and injuries. We know everything about MB is machine like, (did someone mention he has changed the training methods this season to freshen things up), we just can't put a settled side out. I didn't watch the LC performance but the first 45 at Spurs was the best i have seen since last sea...

Re: Brighton v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Raphinha, Rodrigo and Firpo Start

We have just gone flat for whatever reason. Stamina? Talent? Unrest? Its almost like the players peaked last season and realized that was their maximum and have given in a little. We get glimpses like the first 45 last week but consistency has gone over the 90. We used to get stronger as the game wo...

Re: Kalvin Phillips

Even the commentators thought he was injured. He did look flat today. I would feel alittle aggrieved making way for Forshaw. Lets hope its not another Pablo situation.

Re: Player Ratings v Brighton (a)

Meslier 6: A couple of decent stops, a couple of fumbles aswell. Dallas 5: Carried the ball forward ok at times. Looked slow in defence. Llorente 5: Same has Dallas. I thought all our defence looked pedestrian tonight. Cooper 5: Firpo 3: He looked again like a rabbit stuck in headlights. Was Lamptey...

Re: Brighton v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Raphinha, Rodrigo and Firpo Start

I missed the first 10 mins i hope it was better than the following 35. It was awful. The shape is poor, Rodrigo offers nothing in midfield Lampty is having Firpo for his breakfast & dinner and Raph has barely had a kick. James is running around like a headless chicken. We have seen it everytime we p...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 24th November) - Club rebuff claims Martínez being lined up to replace Bielsa

Could Ross Barkley be the missing piece of the jigsaw: Can't see it happening if i am honest. Too inconsistent maybe. He does need to do something drastic for his career tho. he's fast becoming the forgotten man. What was his name again? Is the forthcoming Brighton game a must not lose? Yes. We we n...

No fire if someone pisses on it first. :) Is it just me who worries about any recommendation from Orta? Don't get me wrong Cellino picked managers like grapes. In Bielsa we trust. Or trusted if he decides to leave. Without the money who is going to do a better job realistically? What mid table i hea...

Not a runner 1000, although I can still run short distances pretty quickly. I do a fair bit of walking. Eat healthily, lot of fish, fruit & veg, though I do have a sweet tooth. Love good food Keep a check on any weight rise. Drink moderately, beer doesn't like me any more, so I don't drink it. Do e...

Re: Covid Wars

Any links to any recent studies? Appreciate you are happy to take the risk but my point is based on the above findings that vaccination reduces the chance of transmission. So perhaps a link to a few recognised surveys that prove different would be worth looking at. All the surveys from various bodi...

Re: Covid Wars

Fortunately, I haven't had a cold in nearly two years, probably a decade since I had the flu & god forbid I stay clear of Covid, maybe I've got lucky however I do deploy safety measures, some would probably say a bit extreme! I don't know what your health was like before Covid 64? but the pictures ...

Re: Covid Wars

That is fine but when it's proved in numerous studies that vaccination reduces the spread by a significant amount (read above link) compared with non vaccinated its a recipe to prolong the fight against covid. To me whether you are or are not at risk if you can reduce the spread by been vaccinated ...

Re: Covid Wars

Vaccinate the elderly and the vulnerable and anyone else who fears the virus and let natural immunity take care of the rest. (what level of natural immunity we are at?) I fall into 2 of the risk categories in that i am overweight and have asthma but would never agree with vaccine mandates. The elder...
