Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 25th November) Orta outlines transfer window plans for January

Rather you than me mate, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a hospital in these surreal times, needs must in your case Byebye. Just what I was saying a couple of weeks back but as you say needs must. I’ve been very impressed with the treatment I’ve received from York hospital though it’s been 1st ...

Thanks for your concern 64, I’m told all will be well when I have my second operation in the new year 👍🏻

“Blimey” is probably about right 64, no broken limbs just a “broken”right eye! Won’t furnish you with the gory details but should, all being well, have my right eye back in business in the new year. 👍🏻

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 25th November) Orta outlines transfer window plans for January

Morning all, 5 days ago I had a bit of a set too with a hawthorn hedge at the bottom of the garden, the hedge won convincingly and now after 4 hospital visits and 1 emergency operation I’m now back in circulation. Consequently I missed the Arsenal match but by all accounts, backed up by the stats, i...

Re: The Leeds United Weekend Debate

1) Phillips and Rodrigo hopefully will be back and that should make a bit of a difference. I would also like to see Hernandez on the bench and be given 1/2 an hour or so. 2) Not really P and R coming back will strengthen the team. 3) A tighter defence conceding fewer goals. 4) I think Ayling and Koc...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 19th November) Philips has a chance of playing on Sunday

Phillips and Rodrigo back for Arsenal would be excellent (and essential to give us any chance), and Pablo on the bench for the last half hour to turn things round if needs be. Bielsa wouldn’t be able to guarantee Alioski 1st team football from here on in but he would be useful as back up perhaps for...

Mike Dean again! Well that is just provocative and typical of the football authorities. I just hope he has a mind to try and make up for his appalling cock-up in our last game and give us a fair shout, but somehow I doubt it!

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 18th November)

I’ve only ever seen Winks when he’s played for England and although he has a reputation of being a clever footballer I’ve never been massively impressed. Undoubtedly he would cost a lot of money on transfer fee and wages but the fact that he is at least 3rd in the pecking order at Spurs does not sug...

Bournemouth eh! So I was right, being on loan at Leeds United (even anonymously) was his greatest achievement! 😂

Yes when I really think about it most of the ones I mentioned do ring some very faint bells but Adam Smith, not a single jangle! He obviously didn’t go on to do anything particularly notable, I wonder whatever happened to him? Perhaps his greatest achievement in football is to be the least remember...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 17th November) - Ayling, we should have a few more points on the board

Pretty sure Adam Smith arrived on loan from Surs, and as soon as he turned up he wanted a transfer out. He also refused to play for us. David Martin, Scottish keeper from memory, Flahavan, a decent keeper. Think he was a coach for us as well at some point. Yes when I really think about it most of t...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 17th November) - Ayling, we should have a few more points on the board

Luke is probably right as deserved draws against Liverpool and Wolves would have given us 2 more points. The two 4-0 scorelines were also undeserved although it would be a big stretch to suggest we could have got any points in either. As it is 10 points is ok for a newly promoted side at this stage ...

15th November Lovely free-kick from Mertens England had two free-kicks from a similar position, one was a Kevin Sinfield kick over the posts from the inept Mason Mount, the other his the brick wall tKXw_8aZ_BA Well taken for sure but should never have been a free-kick in the first place. No probs 64. Punctuation a bit awry as I’ve read it back, but that was never my strong suit.

Which forum 64 as a matter of interest?

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 16th November) Keown rips into Bielsa ahead of Arsenal game

I don’t think being taken from mid table, Championship also rans to promotion within 2 years, playing fabulous football can be construed as “proving costly”. But, of course, Keown is basing his observations on just 2 games out of the 100 or so that Leeds have played since Bielsa arrived, 90% of whic...

Re: The Weekend LUFC Breakfast Debate (14th November)

Morning all. Weekend breakfast debate, is this a new venture 64? I suspect the price for DePaul would have to be reduced substantially if we are going to make a move in January, if not then it’ll be a non-starter. I’m sure Rodrigo will turn out to be an excellent player for us and the signs so far a...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 13th November) Hay confirms rift between Hernandez and Bielsa

Confirmation of a rift between the best manager we’ve had since Wilco and the best player we’ve had since we were last in the Prem is bad news, I hope it gets sorted quickly and amicably before it seriously rocks the boat. We can’t afford that kind of distraction in this league. Why do Leeds United ...

Birkenshaw/East Bierley myself. Bradford was the place for a fantastic night out in the late 70s early 80s though!
