Re: Where do you live
Nice: very peaceful part of the area. Went to a great beer festival in Selby Town Hall in July. Beers divided religiously into N/S/E/W Yorkshire .

Re: Where do you live
"Whereabouts in Selby are you from mate ?. Incidentally, my wife went to Corpus Christi, she has asked your dads name, but I appreciate you may not want to say". Lived on Westbourne Rd in the seventies, then off Leeds Rd backing onto Selby High School. I wondered if you are from Barlow nr ...

Re: Where do you live
Don't post much but read a lot. I am from Selby but my dear departed father was raised on Dragon Road in Wortley, overlooking ER. He raised me on tales of John Charles and the subsequent great Leeds team, from Bobby Collins onwards. He taught History at Corpus Christi in Halton and Mount St Mary's. ...

Re: New Badge

No idea where they got that from, like the badge stylistically but it brings back memories of relegation and then a spell in division 2 for me and so wierd superstitious ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 12th June) - Three horse race for Elland Road hot seat
I would have thought that the 49ers' takeover would appeal to potential managers of a reasonable calibre, as they would expect there to be a certain amount of £££ (or $$$) to be available.

Re: Radrizzani interview with The Athletic
I rarely post but read MOT assiduously. The possibilities in the above posts are what really worry me, albeit it must be similar for many clubs who drop from the Premier league. Long term expensive contracts basically paid for with mortgages...reminiscent of 2004. Hope we are not in that scenario.

Debate gets surreal...you can get Gareth Southgate at 50/1 mind.
Now that would be surreal.

Notts I like your style. Post trenchant views and respect those who disagree. Like what I see about Gyabi, albeit against a modest side. A club in our position has to take punts such as these. Elmet by Fiona Mozley. Good read for those brought up East of Leeds like me (Selby). Noirish delving into the semi rural communities around Micklefield and the East Coast main line, bit of an off the beaten track area. Very atmospheric.

Re: Why don't you like Chelsea?
My first post, been reading this fantastic forum for a few years. Will post in the intros page later. Moved to comment on the Chelsea topic. What everyone forgets is the nature of their support. I was once in the pub and a Chelsea supporting friend of a friend said, and I quote; "Hitler got rid...
