Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 7th July) Leeds set their sights on Celtic star

Morning! Had a look on Celtic Noise, can't find anything about Édouard on there. Define a £15m player; at this level, or at prem level? In the championship you'd expect someone with that tag to hit the ground running and tear it up, which Costa hasn't. At the level above, if he develops and improves...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 6th July) Comfortable win for Pace setters Leeds

I've been pretty positive about how the club has been since Bielsa came in, but letting Roofe go for want of a new contract still irks me. Failing to replace him properly and wasting his fee on pointless loans just makes it worse. I understand and respect Bielsa having very particular requirements, ...

Morning! Suggests that Bielsa didn't take to him, rather than it being a fitness issue. Is that all the Roofe money wasted on Nketiah and Augustine then.

Good heavens. Has that been twenty-five years already?
Yikes! I still think of Broadsword as being the new stuff, and that was 1982.

Re: Album of 1968 - NOMINATE NOW

My mate down in Cornwall is a massive JT fan, but I've never really gotten into it. Tull were the first band I really obsessed over, hitchhiking miles to get copies of albums. I thought of them as 'my' band, because I didn't know anyone else who was really into them. I spent hours embroidering pict...

Re: Album of 1968 - NOMINATE NOW

Thick As A Brick & Passion Play are my favourite Tull albums I love the prog concept album phase too, not least because their whole approach to it was tongue in cheek. Ian Anderson is one of the most consistently good song writers imo, through multiple changes of style and lineup. So many gems hidd...

Re: Blackburn Rovers v Leeds Utd - MATCH THREAD

Nice comments from Tony Mowbray: "They come with an attitude and belief that they are going to win but I don't think it was a vintage performance from them. "They're a good side with a world-class coach. The football world is looking forward to seeing how they'll get on in the Premier League against...

Re: Album of 1968 - NOMINATE NOW

Jethro Tull - This Was Their one and only album with Mick Abrahams, and one of the first three records I owned. Saw Mick Abrahams many times, often playing with Clive Bunker and Glen Cornick. It's simple and bluesy, but has a laid back summery feel, and I still play it quite often. Also considered: ...

It wouldn't get into my top 3 Beatles albums so doubt it'll get a score from me...

I'll be surprised if this album doesn't win :o
If it does it'll be an indictment of the record collections of MOT. There was more to the 60s than the friggin Beatles.
