Daniel Farke pre QPR
Farke's here - key factors in selection? To be successful, that's they key factor. Want to win the game. Take everything into account. Performances in the last games, Saturday too, training, also once you have a busy schedule, three games in seven days, physical data on recovery, who is fresh and r...

Re: Premiership debate
Couldn’t give two shits about Liverpool but they have a point. They can’t escalate anything as it’s too late, no idea wtf they are on about there. A multi billionaire pound sport that couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery. I’m just glad it wasn’t Everton, I’d have been bloody livid tbh 😆 Yeah it...

Re: Premiership debate
What exactly do they want? Escalation my bum.
It happened, other teams have got screwed before (us) Villa literally stayed up because of a goal that shouldn't have stood.
It happens.
Deal with it.

Re: Glasgow Rangers
Would suit a manager either with a lot to prove whose reputation is on the slide like Graham Potter or even dear Jesse Marsch. Would also suit a manager looking to show themselves on a bigger level like Muscat, Knutsen and Jansen. It's basically a guarenteed 60% win percentage and a trophy or two a ...

Re: The team to play QPR - 6 changes needed
6 players seems a bit much.
Personally I think just going back to our usual style will fix many of the issues.
Rodon, Gray and Anthony for Cooper, Kamara and James will do for me.

Re: Daniel Farke
1708506265595281765 Found this interesting, clearly something Southampton haven't done before apparently but it worked perfectly vs our setup. Nothing overly complicated but Farke didn't seem to know what to do. Hopefully he finds a solution because it made us look very ordinary. And also raises th...

Re: Southampton v Leeds Utd Match Thread
You're contradicting yourself. At the start of the season you were the one talking incessantly about the total mess from every point of view. Now you say it was just a few "loan clauses....".?? I'm not naive. I think I have a much better perspective of the 48ers than you do. I've seen how...

Re: Southampton v Leeds Utd Match Thread
You wont know how that balance sheet will look after the sale. Fair point but unless the 49ers paid it all off which would be a nice surprise (but unlikely) then we likely still owe most if not all of it. Edit roughly 50% was owed in the next 12months and 50% after. We sold KP and Raph since then b...

Ordinarily I'd wish him well etc but then I remembered the cowardly overrated roadrunner was going to sue the club so.

Re: Southampton v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Im sure the board hope for promotion but you have no evidence of it being a must for Farke this season. Otherwise I reckon he would not have accepted the job and signed a 4 year contract. That is longer than the Leicester and SH managers. As for this squad winning the league, perhaps, but this is t...

Re: Michaël Cuisance - Signs for Venezia
Happy Michael Cuisance day. 3 years ago today Victor Orta was going to spend £20mil on him only for Cuisance to fail his medical. 4 days later he joined Marseille on loan and after a poor spell (Marseille didn't activate the buy option) he joined Venezia in Serie A for approximately 10% of the fee w...

Re: Today's Games.
Hard not to see Leicester going straight back up. They could well do a Burnley, it's early days, but they're opening up a decent lead. It's one of the best if not the best start to a Championship season. Weirdly on the occasions I've seen them they don't look THAT good. But they just seem to make i...

Re: Southampton v Leeds Utd Match Thread
There is absolutely no logic in what you're saying here. No team in the chaos we were in after last season reasonably expects to go up the next year. And to say that Farke will be gone by Christmas if we're not in touch with the top 2 is equally ludicrous, given how he's turned things around. This ...

No intensity, half hearted or no press.
Just don't understand it given how many goals Southampton have conceded because of being pressed.

Re: Daniel Farke
If anybody on here goes from one extreme to the other it's yourself. Imo bar yesterday every problem he's faced has been handled with aplomb, and there are good reasons for early season results. Yesterday was different for the first time, there's a good few decisions yesterday which need addressing...

Re: Daniel Farke
Without causing an argument. At what point is Farke judged purely on results (which haven't been good enough) and his tactical choices (which also at times leave a lot to be desired)? I get lots of turmoil in the summer (we weren't alone in that though). And he did handle that well and he speaks wit...
