Re: Stoke City v Leeds Utd Match Thread
The people who present the EFL podcast made an excellent point. We effectively play 2-2-6 with Bogle and Firpo joining our wingers, 10 and 9 as a front 6. Despite this we very rarely looked vulnerable defensively. It does on occasion in transition which is what has happened to DF's teams before ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Poor goat :roflmao: Sacrifices must be made :) The superstar stuff is just a bit of fun, of course the forum needs people to post but its not a conspiracy I'm sure. As for the finances of the forum I strongly suspect those who run it put money in nit take it out, this isn't Facebook it won't make ...

Re: Daniel Farke
In fact what do you actually have to do to become part of the Admin/Moderator or contributor? Curious that's all. Are you a part of it, do you know about any of the mechanics of it all ? You have to sacrifice a small goat outside Daniel Farke's house. Pledge your allegiance to the Cult of Farke ...

Re: Daniel Farke
This is a perfect example of how you often give with one hand and take away with the other. Your opinion carries considerable weight on this forum and no doubt you have many acolytes who gleefully pile in after a draw with Swansea or a defeat to Portsmouth. Your opinions often inform the tone and ...

Re: Joel Piroe
Did anyone say that? I think some were just questioning "best finisher in the league" after he went through a cold spell. Tbf JP has probably been the most criticised player on this forum this season. Can't run , can't link play, can't press, can't hold the ball up, doesn't move. All totally wrong ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Bloody hell! Does your boss know or you retired, it must be hardwork finding time? And if you get nothing for it they'll love you, some people do become addicted to them i know that, do you find yourself waking up and first thing checking them all? They all say that, then where does the ad revenue ...

Re: Daniel Farke
I would say that your stating of facts is always tinged with sophist leanings... using rhetoric as a tool to manipulate rather than enlighten. A sophist uses intellectual sleight of hand, technically factual, but sly, and manipulative. Any way you cut it, at every opportunity you do a hatchet job ...

Re: Daniel Farke
He’ll have performed miracles if him & his squad are still in the PL in 3 seasons. Then even you will hail the Farke. King Farke. If he keeps us up first season I will join you. I will become a FarkeBabe because that will be a genuinely impressive achievement. I'll come to the meetings. Wear the s ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Shame there are those that had to spoil the promotion party with this moaning..... I was loving it till someone posted where are all the farke haters, and it got jumped upon and "retweeted" basically... there are no Farke haters here, zero, none.. there are those that don't do the blind faith thing ...

Re: Daniel Farke
My argument is that you cannot lament the amount of money given to Farke in the Championship, and yet at the same time call for ever greater investment in the premiership to ensure survival. Yet you seem to have the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time. It's not lamenting it's ...

Re: Daniel Farke
This is the most ludicrous argument I have ever heard. Is it not the lament of many fans that there is never enough investment coming from the owners? The 49ers are a capital investment firm whose only interest is making a profit for their shareholders. Selling off our best players. Oh how we wrung ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Or perhaps it meant that we were stuck with them as no clubs saw them as worth signing. In the case of Aaronsen if he had been on lower wages then maybe a club thinks that he is worth the risk, likely a case with Dan James too. Maybe if they hadn't been signed on big wages we could have sold them ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Burnley had the nucleus of a side that had won the championship with over 100 points just a season prior. Yes they got relegated without much of a fight but they had a far more settled side that was equipped to get promoted again. They had disruption but probably lost the players that they had ...

Re: Daniel Farke
The wage bill argument has been done to death. Yes we pay high wages, a Leeds premium perhaps as we are a big club, but the biggest earners were not signed by Farke and not given wages under his watch. Aaronsen, Bamford, Wober, Firpo etc will all be on huge wages but there is nothing Farke can do ...

Re: Daniel Farke
If his and the clubs hands were tied so much that he was jealous of others spending, we have to ask ourselves about the miraculous job he's done in stabilising the club from which seemed like a precipice/come balancing act with the mess of contracts the previous incumbents left him with, he himself ...

Re: Daniel Farke
Aaronson returned because he no other realistic offers. We paid £3m for Gnonto. Piroe was signed last season. We only spent £5m on this season's defence. Meslier, Firpo & Struijk have been at Leeds for 4 to 5 seasons, Rodon, & Ampadu were part of last season's rebuild. A major part of our wage bill ...

Re: Joel Piroe
As Cjay indeed say we wouldn't have got where we are today without Piroe. We all had huge hopes for Joseph but he has had a poor season. I think we do need another striker next season, to compete with Piroe (or maybe Piroe goes into the 10) and I would then look to loan Joseph out, initially till ...
