Honest I suppose whether you agree with him or not.

Won't ever agree that mid table is successful though.

They basically want us to be a Southampton.

Victor Orta Interview

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/09/22/victor-orta-exclusive-why-marcelo-bielsa-had-go-what-makes/ Victor Orta is the first to admit it. “I’m a geek,” he says. “And I’m not ashamed of it. My lifelong friends have been telling me that for many years.”  Today, Orta is Leeds United’s director ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

Yes. There is the butterfly flaps its wings theory. If JKA wasn't born none of this would have happened, so his mother is as much to blame as Bielsa. But the Court case about JKA is about the contract, not his existence, not how he came to be in Leeds. If there is fault, blame, negligence, it all c...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) - Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

JKA pulled his hamstring. Who knew that would happen? Then Covid arrived and he 1. Was infected leading to long covid which led to him getting depression ( new country living in isolation etc etc etc dont underestimate how that could affect a young person in a new job, country etc. ) and 2 the then...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) - Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

And this forum went into overload on what a wonderful coup we had in snatching JKA away from Old Trafford. How great we all were. (While at the same time cursing Orta for every breath he took) As they say. If hindsight was foresight you would have insight.. We are only fans. We don't have the acces...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

Precisely, I agree. To pin responsibility on him for the disaster in the JKA transaction (and the disaster was the paperwork, that's the whole court case) is ludicrous. He didn't have final say, in fact he may not have had any say, in the issue that may cost the club tens of millions. He had a say ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

But...hold on...surely fans realise that the Court case and the entire litigation is not about whether JKA was a good or bad player? The Court case is over the terms of the contract. It's very much a legal battle over interpretation of contractual paperwork. That's the disaster. Are fans really say...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 21st September) Chelsea target Orta for new Sporting Director Role

Did he? Did he negotiate the terms and sign the cheque? I'm surprised a manager would have agreed the "must buy" provision. It seems like utter insanity for a club to even expect him to do the paperwork which is now being picked apart by highly paid legal teams. This has been done to deat...

Re: What is the point in persevering with Victor Orta?

Goes to show that those in the know, know much more about what we have than we do. Most on here are slagging off Harrison every week. Newcastle want to splash the cash on him. Llorente gets called up for Spain. No end of suitors for Dan James. Club don't think they need a replacement for Fripo. And...

Re: Leicester Thread - Rodgers

I saw their owners have taken out loans secured against TV money until 2025! How on earth would they pay back that upon relegation? I hope Radz hasn't taken any ideas from his favourite club. Parachute payments and player sales. Radz has definitely done similar regarding loans secured vs TV...

God knows MM Our financial expert Cjay will know the answer to that question, hopefully. Definitely not an expert. But can read They have sold potential future incomes to give them breathing room now. Over £600mil in total. It's not really a sustainable way to operate but they know what everyone kn...

Re: Leicester Thread - Rodgers

Rodgers isn't blameless. Leicester got him Boubakary Soumare last season for £18mil. Jannik Vestergaard for £15mil. Patson Daka for £27mil. That was last season, all have failed to live up to expectations. He also hasn't been able to solve there set piece issues, that again is on him. He hasn't been...

Re: Corberan Sacked

He's ploughed all his money into Forest though. Can't imagine Olympiacos fans are too happy about that, and Forest fans unhappy he still owes Olympiacos. These multi club arrangements never work out. Tbf in the time he has owned Olympiakos they have won 10 League titles and 3 Greek Cups. Forest hav...

Re: Corberan Sacked

Seven games out of thiry eight is no way enough time to allow a manager to make an impact. It smacks of the panic setting in across the board by over leveraged clubs Perhaps not. But he has actually been in charge of 11 games winning only 2. In that time he has failed to beat a Slovakian team twice...

Re: Corberan Sacked

Irrelevant him being sacked so soon into his new club. In fact his record there is similar to Jesses here. Two wins, two draws and a loss and he is out the door. Laughable really. Last season at Huddersfield is a superb effort and the fact they are relegation fodder without him says it all. Two are...
