Aaaand it's raining again. The roads here have been flooded for the last month and all the flood plains of the Wey are underwater. Be amazed if the farmers are getting much planted

I think you once posted that you were very happy to have passed through it .... Soooo many trees, it can be enclosing at times and very menacing and stark in winter. I love it.

Shame about the numpties living in it.... well, most of them

I'd hold on to Paddy, he's division proof and should be a useful player to have coming off the bench irrespective of division...

Re: General Chat

In my case, tamper resistance is an autistic trait rather than a matter of holding things precious. I chose to argue the point rather than play the 'disability card'. The Finnish people are very wise. We would all do well to emulate them. Some of my best friends are trees, and I mean that literally...

andrewjohnsmith wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2024 10:21 pm It's between Ampadu and Rodon for sure. Ampadu has kind of made himself club leader. Such a bargain too. I think both would be great in most premier league sides. Hopefully they'll be in our premier league side next season.
1. Geo
2. Ampadu
3. Rodon
4. Summerville

Re: England International Matches

Yuck. I'm a huge cricket fan. Before I moved to the States, cricket was my first sport. Slipped down behind footie since nobody plays it here and I don't get to follow as closely. I have full access to the IPL and absolutely despise the thing . Can't stand that it's made mercenaries out of crickete...

Re: Ethan Ampadu

At the highest level, hopefully meaning us in the premier league, I think Ampadu has to play as a defensive mid. He's really dynamic and talented. Perfect anchor man for filling in across all defensive positions. And he uses the ball really well going forward. Like I said on Rodon, he would have be...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 28th March) Surgery rules duo out for remainder of season

Pascal is a class CB ... we can certainly manage this season without him. But should be a key member next season. I know he's prem class. I also rate Gyabi highly too, there's definitely something Patrick Vierra about him. I'd keep him for the first team squad next season as a whomever/Kamara/Gruev ...

Stayed out of this as it all got a bit uncomfortable imo. If you want to be technical almost every single person in this country is probably descended from immigrants somewhere down the line as people have been coming and going from this small island for thousands of years. So, this country is lite...

I don't see any other cover for Gruev apart from Ethan ...which promotes Cooper. Cresswell right side and shift Rodon left could be a possibility too but unlikely

Coop got a 90 v Chelsea, played very well and for Scotland at the weekend

Re: Watford v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Both Gnonto and Geo out and Watford have a very good chance. Let’s see how the worst case scenario looks Meslier Gray Byram Ampadu ( back in midfield) Rodon Cooper James Kamala Piroe Bamford Summerville We’re down to one creative player I’d assume would be the focus of the Watford defence, still a v...

Re: General Chat

Not sure about that. Different things altogether. I do as you say, I check behind/in front and often just go in the road as it’s easier but these are people who have clearly looked up and just carry on their convo regardless. You seem to place the emphasis on me and not them to change course or wha...
