Re: Sober for October

Went through Guildford recently. One of the worst traffic systems I've ever encountered. Beer in my local is £3.40 and it's excellent stuff. The landlord has also started selling his homebrew for £3, and that's really good too. Lovely town if you get to know it but bloody hilly, the traffic system ...

Spuds are done, 3-1 down with a player off (Royal). White has been very good again,

Unleaded is around 1.65 in Suffolk
Apparently 20p more expensive on average, with a pint of Peroni being the most expensive, No Cities in Surrey of course, just "market towns"

Re: Sober for October

Can’t blame people for using our local Wetherspoons with the cost of living being what it is. Less than £3 (under £2 for some) for a pint. But I’ve noticed in my forays up north to York & Chester that not only is the ale better & more varied but it’s much cheaper compared to the independent...

Re: The player polls - The "Striker"

Perkins looks like the most complete striker at the club imo, just from watching him play, which hasn't been often. He will score a lot for some lucky prem team, just hope it's us.. Bamford gets by on guile and experience and tbh, looks a better player now he's at the Jesse Marsch finishing school. ...

Re: Sober for October

I'm basically dry the other 11 months so just business as usual for me.... Until 2005 I was a big real ale drinker but that's when that went away for me so apart from the odd glass of wine or an oversweet GF lager, which is ok on hot days, I hardly partake.

Re: Today's Games

Partey opens the scoring for the Arse, Kane-Pen gets the equalizer 1-1 Arsenal the better team. And I get a White assist for the fantasy league

Re: The player polls - The "Striker"

Trickiest one for me at the moment. Rodrigo has started well this season and we’re only now perhaps seeing what persuaded us to pay a record fee for. He’s not really done anything wrong, to be dropped and is imo a confidence player. It does him no good dipping in and out. Bamford, I find somewhat f...

The player polls - The "Striker"

Or False nine or forward or just the plain #9 This should be tough with Rodrigo starting the season fast, Paddy returning to fitness and banging in an U23 hat trick, plus the exciting Joe Gelhardt and then the youth - Gnonto who's already started for Italy, Fernandez with 8 in 5 for the 21's, Perkin...

The player polls - Attacking midfielder

Or the number ten

Someone is gonna miss out when all are fit and if Gnonto plays as well as he is expected it's gonna make these polls interesting when revisited in a couple of months

Re: Owzthat!

I remember it, basically two dice and scorecards? One die had 1,2,3,4,6 and the final side took you to a second dice of B,C,LBW, Not Out, Run Out? and another not out of some kind A game basically played in the imagination. Is that the one? My dad had a set but you could really just get away with pa...

15 goals for Perkins/Joseph so far through 6 games and I'm not sure Joseph has played in all 6

Adams is the bulldog, the Batty of this team. Roca also plays midfield but is the thinker imo
