Re: So Much for the Bielsa Burnout

Still feel like Michael Cuisance turned up and they thought 'This guy is a knob' and used the foot thing as an excuse. I got that feeling too that we decided to pull the plug after Bielsa met MC and we couldn't say it was cos he came across as a kn*b. Certainly appears that the injury didn't hamper...

Re: So Much for the Bielsa Burnout

The myth has all been hyped up based on 2 seasons of football - with those who spout the nonsense ignoring Bielsa's Newells side who won a couple of titles (the reason given for ignoring it being that it wasn't seasons that compared in length to European seasons). The first team to suffer 'burnout' ...

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

probably been the worst season of his career! and he's still got a higher combined goals and assists tally than JH and barely started for half the season... what are the best in the world player rankings right now? by the sounds of it.... 1. Messi 2. Ronaldo 3. Neymar 4. Jack Harrison ;-) :) I'd ra...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Burnley ???? (one of each please)

I don't get all the knocking of Cooper. I would be happy with any 2 of our 4 centrebacks and any 2 I think would have helped us look strong if they'd had a run of games together. It was the continual disruption at the back through injuries and suspensions that made us weak rather than the players.

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

Harrison is at his best working on instinct/ muscle memory. He has acknowledged this, working with a sports psychologist at his own expense. Hopefully with age comes experience. Next season he will be only 25. He has many more years in the PL. Hopefully at Leeds. Tie him down to a 5 year contract t...

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

My guess would be if they could remove the option to buy clause they would now . Don't forget in their arrogance they didn't think he'd play like this in the prem. I feel this is true. The initial option to purchase clause was inserted before he had even to convince he could do it at Championship l...

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

Similar to Klich, Bamford and just about every player on the planet he has had some poor games but the class remains and the form has always only been temporary.

Similar to last time decent knowledge but talks a bit too much for my liking. Like commentators to add to the game not be continually talking.

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

Harrison, 24, claimed a goal as well as two assists for Rodrigo - leaving only Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes with more goal involvements from midfield in the Premier League this season. Considering how many penalties and free kicks Fernandes takes I wouldn't be surprised if Harrison has even d...

I think the fact Keogh was just a passenger and Derby didn't sack the other 2 players showed that Derby's motive in sacking Keogh was purely financial (the other 2 being considerably younger and having value in the transfer market).

In 1960, seven preteen outcasts fight an evil demon that poses as a child-killing clown. Thirty years later, they reunite to stop the demon once and for all when it returns to their hometown.

Re: Elland Road and other stadiums

I was thinking about our stadium last week when I went past City's new stadium to get a covid jab. For all these new stadiums have better facilities, wider seats etc they have few momories in them. When a player scores at ER he has scored on the same pitch as Yeboah, Viduka, Lorimer, Charles or any ...

Re: Patrick Bamford

His finishing could indeed be a little sharper... Spuds have 3 top class rated strikers in Bale, Kane and Son ...yet we taught them a master class at the week end ..Paddy scored... and Rodrigo as a sub our only two strikers...son was their only one on the sheet, other two totally shut down...not al...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Spurs (one of each please)

Positive - Struijk and Koch look like they could be top performers for the next few seasons, and Koch looks like he can be an excellent DM when needed. I wonder if Phillips can be played as an 8 now and again as an experiment - ? Before he was pushed back to being a DM he used to score a few goals ...

Re: Velotrax's Rate the Ref thread

Think the ratings are schewed because of the result. He could easily have been the mitigating factor in us losing that game. A lot of poor decision for me but, and this speaks volumes about the appalling standard of refereeing at present, still one of the better referees of late. 6/10

Re: Jack Harrison

The cynic in me wonders why Citeh are so keen to do us a favour through selling a young player with great potential for apparently far less than market value - especially as we beat them and drew with them this season...It's not like they can look at Leeds in a slightly patronising way as being a c...

Think everyone just had an off day v Brighton. Right from the start we were on it today putting passes together. Must have put more consecutive passes together in the first minute or two than we managed against Brighton.

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

Bielsa loves a winger, he also loves playing them accross that attacking midfield three I have felt for a long time that Harrison would fit into the AM role, however we'd lose his work rate covering the full back. I also think Raphinha could end up as the AM too given how he likes to come inside a ...

Positive - Played Spurs off the pitch in the first half. For the first 20 minutes or so I didn't even know that Bale, Kane and Son were playing.

Negative - Despite how well we played first half were millimetres from being 2-1 down

Re: Jack Harrison, Worth £10 million?

The trouble we have when comparing him against other premier league wingers is that we don't see the other wingers every week. We see them on MOTD highlights when they have a good game and then compare Harrison against that rather than comparing him against the same player that may have just had his...
