Aaronsen's slump doesn't excuse Rutter. Aaronsen should be doing better and Rutter should have done better. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 10:33 pm Aaronson 2 goals and no assists second half of the season so far. (15 games).

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
I just think being overplayed and injured caught up with Georgie. But 2 goals and 6 assists is almost the entire total BA has managed all season. Hardly - Aaronsen has 8 goals and 2 assists. It is the poorest part of his game for me and yes he shouldbe doing better. I would though say that both ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
What are the numbers? Rutter had 0 goals or assists in the last 8 league matches - at a time when we needed them most. Rutter scored just 2 goals in his last 28 league matches of the 23/24 season. Rutter got 6 goals in the season - 4 of those in the first 18 league matches and just the paltry 2 in ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
Agree with that 64, although Solomon is quite a decent player for this league, Summerville was class till the oppo sussed him out and he's not exactly setting the PL on fire either. Rutter is head, shoulders and knackers above Aaronson in every department. I think we'll hit the promotion road ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
We have less points in what most agree is a weaker league. How can we be better now? Is it a weaker league overall though? Maybe Burnley and Sheff U aren't as good as Ipswich or Leicester but overall I wouldn't say the rest of the league is better or worse than in previous seasons. At this stage of ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
If any promises were made it would only be that you will be member of the 1st team squad. After that and this is the same for all players it's how you train first and they how you perform on match days. Cresswell fell at the first hurdle and didn't train properly or with the right attitude which in ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
Last seasons team was better at its best, and the squad was as strong if not stronger. The quality was also higher overall certainly in the top 4. DF has used this seasons squad slightly better (all be it not recently). Had he used last seasons better we'd not have been so knackered by the run in ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 26th March) - Leeds are two points worse off than last season
The huge difference to last season is that we'd burnt ourselves out at this point after playing full intensisty every match to close the gap. This season I don't see any reason why we aren't fresher. We've had a lot more comfortable games this season than last and I'd hope we are still fairly fresh ...

Re: Radrizzani at Sampdoria
I think giving Radrizanni or Orta any credit is extremely generous. The only credit I give them is for appointing Bielsa. Without Bielsa we would not have got promoted. As it was Bielsa got us promoted with a side that was predominantly made up of signings made by previous owners, it wasn't like ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 20th March) Why have Leeds performed so badly during early kick-off's
The flip side as well is that when we are at home for the early kick offs then we are not the underdog. Our crowd isn't whipped up into a cup match 'David v Goliath' frenzy. Instead we are the opposite. The kick off time is an annoyance, their is an air of apathy. We're not fussed about the cameras ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 20th March) Why have Leeds performed so badly during early kick-off's
The early kick offs affect us more when we are away rather than at home. Our home record is played 5, won 2, drawn 2, lost 1 - the loss coming to Burnley. So at home it isn't as much of an issue, not as great as our normal home form but given the small sample size hard to really draw any meaningful ...

Re: Please reassure me
Are you as confident of auto promotion now as you were 2 months ago Leon ? What with blunts and Burnleys dogged performances and Ampadu's injury.... I think you have to look at where all 3 teams were 2 months ago. 2 months ago, from today, and we were top and 1 point clear of both Burnley and Sheff ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
I just think rotation is important for keeping everyone sharp and motivated. Pep and Ferguson used to do it all the time. Alvarez spoke about how it kept everyone on their toes and match ready because they knew a start could come out of the blue. Or even just because a player was a better fit for a ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
And that's why they are just 1 win from pole position. Although their defence is conceding the odd goal they are still very difficult to beat and it wouldn't be surprising to see them at the top, should Leeds' form continue to dip. With 8 games remaining we need to see Gnonto more involved. It will ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
Perhaps we're all just a little bit more critical off errors and mistakes now it's getting down to the nitty gritty and then start to blame it on fatigue etc ? All season we've made errors, right from the very first game when Bogle gave away a stupid penalty and Aaronsson missed an excellent chance ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
I was convinced Willy would make this impact. I was thinking about Gnonto to play from the beginning. If Gruev had played, I may have done. Because we had two ballers in midfield I wanted Brenden Aaronson to run about. I was thinking though he didn't convince too much in no.10 , he is learning more ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
Had he used his squad better all the players would be match sharp and used to the system. DF has caused this situation himself. Tricky though cos as we saw with the cup performances we were disjointed with change. So if we'd made changes for the league matches and then maybe lost a few more matches ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
And I agree. But I also disagree with zero changes. Millwall at home and QPR away are two completely different challenges. Surely a slight tweak in selection would have made sense. And there were only 62 hours in between final whistle and next kick off. Doesn't make sense that the exact same 11 ...

Re: QPR V Leeds United Match Thread
You did see how disjointed we looked in the cup matches? 3 or 4 changes at this point would be a huge call and 50/50 whether it would work or backfire
