Homes Under The Hammer

Caught a bit of homes under the hammer this morning and they were in Derby and did a bit about the town including showing Pride Park Stadium. Couldn't help but wonder if it was then going to show them selling the stadium and Mel Morris buying it at auction, from himself, for a hundred million over t...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 10th September) - Huddersfield turned down £13m from Leeds for star

Are far as coaches go, Bielsa is top-notch, but his tactical sense is not. If something happens, you have to react to it. People learn by their mistakes. You can't do the same thing, hoping to do it better when you're facing a top side! I know we went toe to toe with Liverpool, Citeh, Chelsea, Leic...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 10th September) Huddersfield turned down 13 m from Leeds for star

The bid supposedly had a fair amount of clauses so was likely something like £5m + £2m if he makes 50 appearances +£2m if he makes 100 appearances, £4m if he gets an England cap etc. Huddersfield no doubt wanted more of it in guaranteed cash but Leeds quite rightly hedging their bets as never a guar...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 9th September) - Phillips fatigue led to Poland Equaliser says Wright

Ian Wright has been very pro Leeds last couple of years, and he does know what he's talking about. I like Ian Wright but he hasn't been a manager so is more of a reactionary pundit, he sees that KP was the only player to try to close down so blames him rather than questioning why KP was having to t...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 9th September) - Phillips fatigue led to Poland Equaliser says Wright

Unusual for Wright to criticise KP but why should it be KP to go out to challenge Lewandovski? Stones apparently was marking Lewandovski so why wasn't he getting out to block or tackle him? KP has just charged down a shot and is then expected to close down another player, KP is one player he can't s...

Re: Dan James - DONE DEAL

Daniel James has opened up on the dangerous impact the intense competition at Manchester United had on his game. The Wales international sealed his Old Trafford exit on deadline day, joining Leeds United in a deal worth £25million. In his first season for the Red Devils, James registered seven assi...

Re: Dan James live on SKY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whJrzXsa1H4 Some great facets of Dan James's play. Early on ( 40 secs) you see his pace enabling him to win the ball back high up the field, he then gets away from 2 players before getting a shot away from a central position. 2m 50s in he receives the ball wide left, ...

Re: Dan James conundrum

I don't think there is much teaching in regards of James playing centrally. He ends up centrally far more than Raphinha does for us. He finds great pockets of space and looks to have good footballing IQ. Wasted at MU where he was unfairly scapegoated and probably did too much too soon so the fans ex...

Re: Dan James conundrum

In Harrison, James and Raphinha we have 3 players who can play on the wing or in the no.10. I see James starting centrally but with the 3 of them seamlessly interchanging throughout the match, Bielsaball at its finest. A lot of James's goals actually come from him receiving the ball centrally on or ...

Re: Helder Costa- Valencia loan deal done, thank you and good luck

Helder's contribution to Bamford's goal v Fulham in our promotion season shouldn't be forgotten. He may not have shone but that goal was vital with Fulham being on top and us looking very shaky in our second game back after the covid enforced break. If we'd lost to Fulham that day I wouldn't have be...

Re: What are your expectations for this season?

This, an excellent close season for me. Kept Raph and Kalvin. added Firpo, James, Bate and Hjelde and I really like the look of Miller. We had a strong starting 11 coming into the season Also kept hold of Messlier despite supposed interest from PSG, Bamford's contract extended and kept, signed Harr...

Re: Summer 2021 squad and transfer discussion/Need to recruit

Maybe he doesnt want to come? He is very stubborn on leaving Barcelona tbf. I dont get this tbh, i dont get how the club can clearly be feeding Phil Hay the central midfield is the priority line all summer, only try a loan with no option to buy for Gallagher and then a £4mil bid for O'brien ( £4mil...

Interesting when discussing Kent to see how low the Scottish Premier League is seen. Our player, Robbie Gotts, has been linked to a move to 2 League 2 sides and a Scottish premiership side (Motherwell). Take Rangers and Celtic away and the standard is very low.

Re: Dan James- Deal close- Phil Hay update 6:50pm (page15)

And as we have seen despite MB's best efforts both of our previous record breaking transfers (Costa and Rodrigo) are still far from convincing with Costa seemingly given up on completely and unfortunately imo the similarities between Costa and James which i wont repeat again are undeniable. Its a l...

Re: Dan James- Deal close- Phil Hay update 6:50pm (page15)

Exactly it's been mentioned before in articles about Mb, he gets very fixated on things (perhaps because he is on the spectrum that is one symptom) but he gets fixated on players, on ideas (Rodrigo as a 10/8). And that's just how he is and sometimes it works and he is right but sometimes he gets it...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 30th August) Leeds scrap for a draw

The days of signing quality players such as Giles, Collins, Clarke, Jones, Strachan, McAllister, Bowyer, Yeboah, Hasselbaink Ferdinand, etc seems a distant memory. Different game then though! The thing is though that it wasn't like those players were all signed in 1 window - don't know the exact da...
