Good news story, honesty in this world

Post by HarryofOz »

Yesterday evening I collected my dry-cleaning and on the way home stopped off to pick up some Thai take-away for tea.

This morning as I was getting ready for work I suddenly thought to myself 'where's my dry-cleaning'. I thought that I must have left it at the Thai place but couldn't check as it was too early and they were not open.

On the way home this evening I was going to go there and ask them. As I walked past the dry-cleaners the owner called out to me and handed me my dry-cleaning.

The restaurant owners had no way of contacting me and obviously thought that I may not have remembered where I left it so they took it to the dry-cleaners for safe keeping obviously thinking that I might go there to see if anyone had handed it in.

Or having visited the Thai in your 'threads' the take away owner thought this poor bugger has only got one decent set of clothes I best return them to the dry cleaners in the hope that they can get his clothes back to him as he was starting to scare the neighbourhood....

Sorry H! :-D

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

There was a robbery last night of a Thai Restaurant in Darlinghurst. Eye witnesses reported a man wearing an ill-fitting wig fleeing the scene in newly-laundered threads.

It's a heartwarming story alright.

Who'd have thought, in this day and age, that someone could still live within walking distance of a functional dry-cleaners.
Music so wishes to be heard that it sometimes calls on unlikely characters to give it voice...
