Re: Playlist over the last week......
Had an early Scorpions and UFO phase recently. Preferred them to most of the nwobhm bands.

Re: Playlist over the last week......
I kind of grew out of British Heavy metal, Hair rock and bad AOR killed rock for me for a while. Tool and Soundgarden amongst others bought me back

Re: Playlist over the last week......
It was thrash bands like Anthrax which kept it going for me, but I was more into the punk and post punk scene in the 80s.

All good, Uli Roths electric sun in the early eighties whoa now that was something to behold. I went the way of sound garden Alice in Chains but always nice to return.
Infact I might go for some really early Yes, Rush Caravan as well
Cheers.

Never really liked thrash at the time tbh.
Must be 20 years since I last played the Eloy, it has dated but I'm really enjoying it again. German prog but good

Never liked 'nu' metal, whatever that's supposed to be. Just one look at Fred Durst was enough. Quite like sludgecore.

What about Sugar? Any takers
Re: Playlist over the last week......
Still listen to the Gates Of Delirium really loud in the dark quite often. I've been doing that since I was about fifteen. Never grow up!

Re: Playlist over the last week......
But hate the term Yacht rock...West Coast (Eagles, Ronstadt, Bishop, Gold etc) is how I've always labelled the Dan, and I love that. AOR for me is Heart, Jefferson Starship, Survivor, Journey, Toto etc ...They have moment but it's mostly junk imo.. I do like Benatar thoughMick Jones shoulder wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:53 pm Bad Aor lol

Nancy Wilson isn't bad in a band called Roadcase Royale with Liv Warfield one of Princes's cohorts.

Kraftwerk Radio activity - I wonder if this is where Roger Waters got some ideas for the Wall from?
Jeff Beck blow by blow, this sounds like a guitarist in a local pub just sitting in a corner having a jam session
