John Cale tinged Smooth Big Cat for me by a distance, I've never been a Cave fan apart from the odd track. The Carole King is nice but should be nowhere near an album of the year final. Feel kinda bad nominating it now.

Very few good soundtracks for me, if they're compilation soundtracks they're a glorified greatest hit, if they're orchestral then you really need the film as well.

The Comet is Coming would be my number two here

Nick Cave

I am a fan, and hadn't heard of Dope Lemon or The Comet Is Coming previously (my top three), but I've tried to give them all a fair hearing. I like Smooth Big Cat, and will listen to it in the future, but Ghosteen reaches me on a deeper level.

Now for Gandi's & Nick's votes then we can put this annual poll to bed for the next eleven months
