Never heard of a loan manager before

Leeds United have recently bolstered their hierarchy with the appointment of former Italian footballer Simone Farina, who has joined the Whites to work as a loan manager.

Farina, who played for Cittadella and Gubbio during his playing days, has joined the team at Elland Road to assist with the club's temporary transfer movements.

Loan moves are now a key part of the football industry and Whites sporting director Victor Orta has turned to 37-year-old Farina to assist with that part of the operation at Elland Road.

Seriously though, how come we can afford this chap when we're supposed to be brassic.....or so we keep being told! Why not have invested the money on a player instead. The mind boggles.

Ive heard of this before.

Chelsea have had one for years, Man City do i think. They oversee and look after the players that are out on loan i think.

On that scale they even can come with nutritional coaches and all sorts.

It is both a good thing imo as its forward thinking but given our standing in the footballing tier its a bit i dont know, odd.

Tbf Radz has always tried to run us like the big teams, developing kids to sell at a profit etc but it neglects the fact City and Chelsea got there main teams to the upper echelons of football first.
