Good Morning. It's Monday 7th October, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines
Lady luck deserts Leeds yet again
Leeds slipped down to 5th place at the weekend having for the third time in six games; this time to Millwall.
Once again, lady luck deserted the Whites as early as the 15 minute mark. The Lions were awarded a hot disputed penalty which saw Berardi receive his marching orders for the seventh time in his Elland Road career.
Courtesy of ELLuTV, we can see the penalty decision, close up, and in slo-mo.
Did their feet get tangled up?
Did the forward blatantly dive without ANY contact?
One thing I noticed as the player went to ground was that Phillips had caught up with play and therefor Berardi was NOT the last defender, but did the Leeds No 28 stop an 'obvious goal scoring opportunity?
Is Berardi too much of a liability? Who'd like to see Struijk given an opportunity alongside White?
Is it time to press the panic button?
If you kept making the same mistake time and time again at work, what would happen?
You'd probably lose your job! Why on Earth does Bielsa NOT learn by his mistakes?
He has ONE style of football, and he'll play the same team, week in, week out. Surely, this must give the opposition a massive advantage over us and will set up shop accordingly!
When was the last time, if ever that Bielsa has made a tactical change to the starting line up, and if he hasn't, surely that's poor?
Does this give Leeds any advantage at all?
Will Bielsa's stubbornness cost Leeds promotion?
We are 5th in the table on 20 points. If we had one point less, we could be in 9th place!
Social media boo boys lay in to duo
It was Helder Costa and Mateusz Klich's turn to receive pelters from the social media boo boo's with one poster even suggesting that Klich must have nude pictures of Bielsa for the gaffer to substitute Phillips instead of the Polish International. Costa on the other hand looked lightweight and out of sorts. How he lasted 45 minutes is anyone's guess?
If you were Nketiah......
Bamford's dry spell in front of goal now extends to six games. With a quarter of the season concluded and Nketiah yet to start, I wouldn't blame the lad if he wanted to return to the Emirates in January. He'd actually get more game time for their first team than he would for Leeds.
The England U21 International has scored 23 times for England in 27 appearances yet Bielsa refuses to change his tactics to allow the young starlet a start.
