Man Ure paid more for James than we agreed, we could have bought DJ, flogged him to scum, made a profit & then they could have loaned him back to us

I'm thinking like Radz now :)

Thanks Gengers.... :) but not really

Leeds messed Swansea about with the fee for the lad, only offering so much of Swanseas valuation with more payments up front. Had we have paid what Swansea wanted he would have been ours days before all that nonsense. As usual, we try to do business on the cheap. Swansea managed to offload their unwanted players whilst we were haggling over peanuts....for Dan James. Suddenly, no need for Swansea to sell to us......the rest as they say is history....

Spot on Swannie

It's the Leeds way, our owners in all years I've been following Leeds have hated spending money, so many transfer deals screwed up with the usual excuses to save face they must think we were born yesterday, strange how the majority of our outgoing deals for our best players go through smoothly  our Johnny foreign owners are just the same, they are like Arkwright with their fingers trapped in the till

And they say Yorkshire folk are tight :duno:

I mean, the club agreed to the fee, so we can't have messed them about that badly. The lad was in a Leeds shirt, had the unveiling video in the can and was just waiting for confirmation from their chairman. If he hadn't refused to pick up the phone then we'd be hailing Radz/Orta getting us a bargain.

The chairman also blocked the sale of Leroy Fer, so it's nothing to do with our bargaining. He then quit the next day, presumably pushed out by the board for blocking those sales.

Would you rather we spend out of our means than haggle prices down to a point that both parties agree to?

Liverpool improved since Firmino came on, was involved in Mane's equaliser

I rather like this way of not raising the offside flag until the move is completed
