John in Louisiana wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 12:35 am I went local. Weather finally turned nice, so I rolled out the Weber grill and grilled a couple of grass fed ribeye steaks (medium rare, of course) with locally harvested wild mushrooms and zucchini from the farmer's market. Served alongside a really nice Norton from Hickory Ridge winery (just down the road in Pomona, Illinois). Blueberry cobbler for dessert with vanilla ice cream from the good folks at Mileur's Orchards.

There are some advantages to living in farm country.
Wild mushrooms sound interesting.

Moggins Wm Morrison sell local free range eggs you pick the ones out then box up.

Here's the trick when u go through the self service it doesn't weigh them,
You just punch in 1 egg and bobs ya uncle 11 free eggs go in 4or 5 times a day and that's a big omelette.
Or sell them half bath in the pubs

Started making mediterranean chicken recently. The colmans one that comes with the oven bag.

Just lob your chicken, peppers, mushrooms and a chilli into a bag with the mix provided and bobs your uncle.

The chicken comes out just peeling apart.

Serve with rice or even in wraps.

Unreal.

Lovely time out all day, so a cook-free night as we've found a brilliant fish and chip shop locally

Fish is delicious
