Super League tonight

Post by whiteswan »

What an incredible end to the game between Yorkshire rivals Leeds v Castleford. Leeds were winning 20-16 very late on when Cas scored a try but couldn't convert so 20-20, final whistle. The game now went into Goalden Point time. Two five minute halves and the first team to score either try or drop goal gets the golden point. Within 2 mins, Leeds had the ball and were on the fifth tackle when the ball was thrown to Brad Dwyer he just nonchalantly, calmly sent the ball flying low over the bar for his first ever drop goal. What a goal it was, Cas are deflated. 'Marching on Together' rings out at Headingly :)

Blimey Swannie a Rhinos victory  only their 2nd win of the season

Rhinos appear to be in a right mess, hopefully this slender win boosts their confidence

Hopefully a turning point as they have made a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory several times this season.

Hull KR v Leeds
Six ex Leeds player in the Hull team (six!) tonight, all of them having a massive impact on this game. 26 mins gone and its 24-6 to Hull. Very poor so far from Leeds.

Bloody awful, no desire, hung on to the old guard under mcdermott for to long. Will struggle to stay up which Hetherington will love with the new stadium.

Wakefield Trinity beat Wigan 30-20 to keep Trinity in the top four

St Helens thrash Warrington 38-12

How bad must Workington Town be, do they resemble a pub team ? as the Rhinos beat them 78-6 in the Challenge Cup

Was always going to be a struggle when sinfield peacock burrows and maguire left , rhinos have the best youth in the country by a country mile but you canโ€™t throw kids in against men , it was always going to be either a 5yr re-build or buy a team , with Hetherington been as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm re-build it is then ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Spot on, league being a proper man's game we have struggled up the middle with our lack of props. Just brought in Ava from the nrl decent signing and will help out Oledski who for his age is good. Need a few more though.

Chris Chester, Wakey's coach stopped short of calling Wigan a dirty team. Four injured players, (two possibly significant). He thought the injuries were deliberately caused by Wigan. Good result for Wakey though...
Good result for Leeds, a win is a win.....

The other big Super League clubs don't suffer what the Rhinos fans endure, they lose class players but still make a fist of it. We've been in one relegation battle now we're in another one
