Dare i say Don Bielsa . . The Godfather
It was a pretty miserable 2018 for us, most of us had lost the will by the time the season ended.
Then in came this bespectacled, slightly tubby, elderly Argentinian who barely spoke a word of English and is famous for many things, not all good.
And after 7 games, difficult games, we are not only the top side, but the best side to watch (with Brentford).
But it isnt only on the pitch where Bielsa has caused joy.
Off it, in his interviews, he is honest, very rare for a manger to be honest like Bielsa.
He accepts responsibility.
He doesnt shy away, he tells the truth, Klich played deeper, Bielsa knows that isnt ideal and he said so, his choice.
He has admitted that we have had difficult periods, he recognises this and says so in interviews.
He calls out the players when they go against his instructions, not in a "its your fault" way.
But more in a " yes they did things wrong, i saw it we will work on it".
He comes across as a respectful and dignified man, humble and full off class.
But he isnt known as El Loco for nothing, occasionally the fire of the Argentinian comes through, just ask Neil Harris
We may not get promoted.
But for the 7 games so far i am very thankful for Marcelo Bielsa
2018 pre Bielsa was dire.
Fans were divided on here, waccoe, all over social media and probably in the stands.
But today, now, we are United again
