Gutted Woods as gone to Stoke.

Wonder why the move to Wolves fell through.

Birmingham 0-0 QPR
Brentford 2-1 Forest (Natalie Sawyer called it a "victory for football").
Hull 1-2 Derby (up to 4th now is Frank)
Reading 1-2 Sheffield Weds
Sheffield Utd 4-1 Villa (considering the funds Bruce has had at Villa he has done a crap job)
Preston 2-2 Bolton
West Brom 2-1 Stoke (Media darling like Bruce struggling)
Wigan 1-0 Rotherham
Signed

Steve Bruce’s career looking in doubt after another horror show, knocked out of the cup in midweek by Burton and thumped by the blades today.

Ten men Swansea (for 85 minutes) fight back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 with McBurnnie grabbing the winner in the last five minutes, the Swans move up into the top six

East Anglian derby ends up in a 1-1 draw

Bristol City thrash Blackburn 4-1 after losing 0-1 early in the match

Both Bristol C & Brentford in the top six which is no surprise as they have decent managers at the helm

Bruce is one of those dinosaurs overrated by his mates in the media because he "knows the league", yet his success at Hull was entirely down to parachute payments. That said, Villa lost their entire spine of Johnstone, Terry, Snodgrass and Grabban, so they won't be as good this season.

I believe Bruce is close to getting the sack, fans are starting to turn noee too.

Not that it will bother him to much I suspect, a few million compensation and another lucrative job a fee weeks/months later.

Panagiotis Tachtsidis signs for Notts Forest on a free.

Nothing particularly not worthy.

But the funny bit is the Forest owner who also owns Olympiakos tried to sign the midfielder before the window shut, but ran out of time.

So he released him from his Olympiakos contract and signed him on a free.

How do you run out of time when you are negotiating with yourself?

Think you are right.

Villa fans want him gone, dont imagine the new owners are to keen on him either.

Sheffield Wednesday's Fernando Forestieri and Mansfield's Jacob Mellis have been banned for three games after a fight in a pre-season friendly

Both players admitted to misconduct charges, with Forestieri fined £25,000 and Mellis given a £1,500 fine.

Wednesday have been fined £20,000 and Mansfield were fined £3,000 in relation to the brawl after the final whistle.

The Owls "vehemently refuted" accusations that Stags captain Krystian Pearce had been racially abused.

Birmingham City have loaned goalkeeper David Stockdale to Southend United on a rolling seven-day deal after receiving emergency dispensation to add cover

The Shrimpers are without the suspended Mark Oxley for three games, Ted Smith is out with a shoulder injury, with Nathan Bishop the only fit custodian.

I’m hearing rumours that Birmingham could be facing a 12 point deduction, something to do with sustainability and the deduction would be immediate

Very interesting that despite all the clamour for Stockdale to join Leeds that no other championship side wanted him.

The respective clubs can keep the likes of Forestieri & Stockdale imo, I doubt Bielsa would want this pair anywhere near ER going going by his expectations & standards of the players he enjoys working with!

That means he'll be back to face us, great he'll raise his game even more than usual.
