Yeah I've always preferred Messi as a footballer.
And as much as i hate Ronaldo, he's a great player and as you point out Cjay an athlete.

I'm sure I read yesterday that they've now replaced the original Ronaldo statue/bust at Madeira Airport with the sculptors second effort which is widely considered to be a more accurate representation.
Do you think they offered the previous one to Niall Quinn, or will that just appear at the Dublin Airport Departure Hall entrance ??

I prefer Messi on most levels because of his exceptional skills, humble demeanour and treatment of fans, but he cannot take a game by the scruff of the neck like Ronaldo did against Spain. He dominated everybody and personally ensured they got back in the game. Maradona did that, other really great players did that, but Messi hasn't activated his ruthless side yet and I wonder whether his lovely personality will ever let him.
I'd love to see him do it though!!!

Not a Ronaldo fan, he's a self-licking ice cream, but sometimes he does things that make you reappraise him. There's a video on social media of a young Portugal fan in tears having missed the opportunity to see his heroes after the Spain game. Ronaldo comes off the team bus, wipes away the kid's tears, gets a picture taken with him and signs his shirt. Didn't have to, but showed a real touch of class in doing so

Think he has become less arrogant as he has gotten older, became a dad etc.

Still not as likeable as Messi but not a bad egg.

Edinson Cavani has agreed to stay at Manchester United for another season - with the club close to announcing the deal.

Cavani, 34, was undecided over whether to stay for a second year after experiencing a number of issues early in his time with the club.

Cavani has had an outstanding finish to the season and scored his eighth goal in seven games and his 15th in total in Sunday's 3-1 Premier League win at Aston Villa.

I was looking for something less offensive Swannie.

Think I've found one, how about as a replacement?
