Heard a couple of their albums but I wasn't that impressed at the time, thought it was earlier than the 80's when I heard them

Yes as far as i know. Saw them support the Who and were very good, not stuff I play too often but have about 8 of my favourites on my ipod.

Never into the Australian rock scene during the 70's/80's such as AC/DC, Midnight Oil, INXS, etc, just not my scene Ges

INXS were amazing live, Hutchence had a tremendous presence. All the bands you mention were better live than on album.

Except D&D was a really good album

You'd have to add Men At Work who's clever lyrics elevated their work and the wonderful Hunters and Collectors to the list of good Aussie bands...I was never a fan of INXS though...Hutchance for me tried to be too Jim Morrison.

I didn't mind their albums Business As Usual & Cargo at the time, unsure if I'd still enjoy them, BAU was a massive seller when I was working in the industry

INXS left me as cold as ice as did many bands from that era !

Yes my music taste is widely eclectic, and I was always renowned in my younger days for the grab the granny award at the end of a night out
