God knows Swannie, think he could have lost the flight of the ball

Pretty sure he tried to catch it and it just went through his hands

Tragic somehow for the Liverpool keeper...it`s such games that let you know: you just aren`t good enough.
You aren`t one of those `chosen by fate` to be a winner at the highest level.
But then again: calling it tragic considering other lifes (and other, maybe more relevant values) would seem a bit over the top.

A couple of shocking errors by the Liverpool keeper, but it was terrible that it was only the Real players that consoled him after the match. His own players ignored him. At least that is what was shown on telly here.

Tragedy, shmajedy - bad luck for Liverpool but they'll live to fight another day.
Liverpool are still in the ECL next year and Salah will get over his 'heartbreak'.

Think Bale's wonder strike will be overshadowed (which is a shame.)
Can you remember the fallout over the Gary Neville comments about this GK.
Some clever folks with hindsight but Neville said what most punters thought.
Karius has had now got this round his neck for the rest of his career which is a tragedy.
It reminds me off the rugby league player that missed the conversion in
The RL Cup final.
That clips been played for decades.
Me personally done very well from it combined with the Fulham result

I was there watching that and will never forget the actions of the opposing fans.

I was also at Anfield the day Gary Sprake tried to throw the ball out but managed to swing round and put the ball in his own net in the 44th minute (9/12/67). "Careless Hands" was played at half-time to great effect.

Some things cannot be forgotten but that POV will eventually fade away.

Watching the match in our local in Cardiff people were clearly in a bit of a dilemma when Bale scored, given his Welsh hero status.

………..do we cheer or groan :?

It shouldn't be overlooked Liggy, that was something special. I remember Billy Bremner scoring a couple of goals like Bale's beauty

Don Fox was the unfortunate Trinity RL player

I was purring & cheering :moggy:

Always been a big fan of Real Madrid, goes back to Don Revie's early days who told his young troops we are changing our kit to all white & you'll play like Di Stefano's Real team :scar1 and we did :)

Always hated Ramos. Its not that I dislike 'hard' players, loved Norman, Billy, Jack etc. But I hate that he dishes it out and then tries to get opponents booked or sent off by flying through the air at the slightest of touches. A first class cheat.

I appreciate that post was probably meant without too much malice but it comes loaded with a history of tragic events. As a club who have suffered ourselves I’d like to think we would not make light of other clubs past tragedies.
