Not really sure why Stoke were so keen to get him. They must have paid Derby a few bob as didn't he sign a new contract with them relatively recently.
He hasn't really pulled up trees to date and has had a few clubs in quite a short period.
I appreciate he harshly got the shove at Birmingham when new owners took over.
Perhaps, a tad over rated on what he's done to date, but that's not to say I wouldn't swap our incumbent manager for him :moggy:

Good appointment, imo, decent manager at this level, would have liked to have seen him here.

Did alright at Blues and Burton.

Not great at Derby imo.

That squad should have been comfortable in the playoffs at least, not clinging on.

One of the better Championship managers however, if yet not really done anything of note.

Overrated and limited in his style of play and transfer knowledge. Would not be surprised to see him sacked by November.

He's left Derby in a really bad position tbh. Loads of old players on their books they won't be able to shift and they need to sell for ffp.
What I want from an owner: 1. Ambition. 2. Wage bill control. 3. Cut spending on loan fees. 4. Better scouting. 5. Get bigger fees for our best players. 6.No ego.
