Have just seen the terrible news that ex Man Utd manager alex ferguson is in hospital in a critical condition we have been rivals over the years but hope he pulls through and that Leeds fans tomorrow do not bring shame on the club with this news.

We are all mortals. No reason for me to sympathise with Alex Ferguson more than witth any other human being I`ve never known personally.

Wishing people well is very subjective.
I'm wishing him well because I like him but I don't expect everyone else to and furthermore I won't be judgmental on people who don't agree.
Best of luck Fergie and I hope you make it.

I hope not too EY

I'll be ashamed & embarrassed if a section of our fans show disrespect

Not only does Ferguson go down as of one of the greatest managers of all-time, folk have to remember he is a husband, father & grandad so everyone needs to show humanity

Hope Alex pulls through this serious condition, not good I should know as I've been there !

Apparently his surgery has gone well, and he will be recovering in intensive care for some time. I do hope he pulls through. I met him in the summer of 2009 at Chester Races, and found him to be warm and funny, and he was a real football (and racing) man. When he found out I was a Leeds fan, he had special words about the club and its fans, and told me to stick with them, as they were a proper football club, and would soon be back in the top division. He might have been wrong about the last bit, but I wish him and his family all the best for the future.

Also worth remembering he went to the funeral of Don Revie.

And rushed back from Italy to go to Billy Bremners funeral to.

And he spoke of "hoping" we would be back in the Premiership soon and that it was "sad" what had happened to Leeds United.

Football rivalry means nothing at times like this.

Probably would have been better not to have posted at all.

Get well soon Fergie

Yes, that was the third option...maybe the best (to keep the truth to oneself.)
(Social rituals I tend to be sceptical against, as they are soo easy to perform.)
