Re: Under 23's v Cardiff today
Olley Casey stepped up to the U23's to cover for recently promoted Paudie O'Conner..played well by all accounts.
Looks like we may have something special in Ryan Edmondson only 16 but is coming on leaps and bounds apparently
"Showing no signs of being overawed by his promotion to the under-23s, Edmondson was immediately one of the loudest voices on the pitch, demanding the ball, making himself available, whether that was down the channels or by creating space for himself in the box.
He also showed a striker's instinct, managing to get a snap shot away inside the box while being extremely tightly covered and test the Lions' 'keeper.
Not only does he have a mentality beyond his years, but his frame is equally impressive and he was easily able to cope with centre-backs who were much older than him."

We certainly looked more dangerous after he came on. For all we dominated the second half I don't think we had a shot of any note until he came on. Seems Millwall's way of playing somehow trumps the way we played under TC and in the U23 too.

2 goals from Machuca gives the u23s (with 10 men) a 2-1 win.
Goals from Theo Hudson, Kun and Bobby Kamwa give the u18s another win 3-1 over Coventry.

Kun has some confidence to do that.

Hard to get excited knowing all we do is sell our young players.

The goal from Dalby was superb. A great throughball, great speed and composure then from Dalby. The future looks very bright and would be nice to see some more of the U23s get a sniff of first team action this season.

Orta appears to have waved the magic wand with the two kids teams...wonderful stuff, hopefully will benefit PH for years to come ...gessa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:05 pm [Tweet]https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/988516034477948929[/Tweet]

Future looks really bright. Someone said that we sell our best youngsters. Until we get promoted that's inevitable. But it seems that we have enough coming through to be able to sell the odd one or two and still benefit.
Re: Under 23's v Cardiff today
Just rewatched the match on LUTV, and I must admit i got very excited. Some real talent in there, I thought Jordan Stevens was superb for a 17 year old, and he linked brilliantly with Oriel Rey and Jamie Shackleton. Clarke and Denton were excellent on the left. Gomes was good as well. Hats off to Orta for his buys with the youngsters, and to Carlos Corberan for harnessing that talent. Similarly, Mark Jackson for his work with the U18's.gessa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:05 pm [Tweet]https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/988516034477948929[/Tweet]
