Watched the goal again.

Berardi is hugely at fault.

Backed off, no where near tight enough.

Then Hernandez and Berardi both staggered backwards because a dummy run.

Allowed more room for the shot.

100th game or not that was very poor.

What is all the sentimental stuff from TC about making Berardi captain for the day :duno:

Our defenders stood off far too much today. Brum had loads of wayward shots, said to my mates one will hit the target which will cost us a goal

Unfortunately the writing was on the wall :(

Should be first choice right back for me, he is a defensive right back, so like all full backs needs to be matched with a right midfielder to form a natural partnership.

our main issue is that we don't have those partnerships on either side, Ayling with a defensive midfielder type (Dallas best we have for this) would give us a more natural way to play.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Putting aside the "cult hero" thing.

2 sendings off this season

Perhaps time to admit he is a give it all guy but actually not a good player.

No excuse for diving in on a yellow.

Didn't see the first booking but the second booking was a correct decision and a silly tackles to make. Like you say Berardi is a guy that gives his all and is a real warrior but does lack he real quality needed. Good squad player, especially given his willingness to play anywhere but our defence is falling apart at the moment.

agreed.

Unfortunately we have to many of those and not enough true quality first choice options.

He can be sold in the Summer.

Cult hero, gives his all, blah blah dont care.

Liability diving into challenges all the time.

Chris Moyles cares but doesnt mean he should be right back or left back.

I've slowly been losing faith in Berardi this season, I've felt a bit for him playing LB rather than RB but that doesn't excuse sloppy passes and tackles like he did today. I totally agree with you, time to move him on.

I feel he is getting frustrated - note at least two of his red cards have been in games where he has been out of position (LB today CB last time & can't remember the position he played for his first one). That said still no excuse.

No doubting his commitment, but he is not good enough and three red cards in a season is not acceptable, and avoidable. Time to go.

I think it is four games this time Hector, I could be wrong... Reflecting on my call for him to move on, Anita and De Bock need to also go, I'd hate to have to rely on them at LB

I believe it is five games as it is Berardi's 2nd straight red :redc: which means his season is finished.....I may be wrong !

yeah needs to go in the summer imo - gives his all but a total liability. Perhaps played his last game in a Leeds shirt then? Can't wait for Ayling to be back and to get in a decent left back
