I am outraged, this is inadmissible, and other fiasco.
I ask you how can WhatTheHeck have the Leeds badge
in RED. What PR consultant thought that would be a good idea?
Wait... nobody cares? The fans are keeping their heads under
the parapet on this one. Laying low cos one more squeak out of them
will be the final straw that breaks the camels back.
Hold on... if we loose at the weekend there is always the opportunity
to stir the cauldron once more. What a poisonous stew we have brewed
for ourselves.

Now Heck is in, are we pleased TC is out?

Post by 8ballali »

I'll set the ball rolling.
I like TC, but he said in his interview, he'd have made changes in matches where Monk lost. While in charge, his only changes were to bring on weaker players in the same position.
So I'm pleased we have the Heck in.

Heck talks a lot of sense, comes across as a down to earth type of bloke

Really hope he turns it around & has a great future at Leeds

His story about his kids at the end of the interview is pure joy

So I'm pleased we have the Heck in.
Heck comes across a honest, humourous, intelligent man, he seems to know what he wants & requires from his players. I really hope he does well at Leeds

One thing noticeable about his interviews he doesn't talk in riddles :-D

I came to the conclusion a few weeks back that I didn't think T C was up to the job, but was still prepared to give him more time. Whether we have an improvement in PH only time will tell.

Nope.

Thought TC did ok under the circumstances.

Hecks record isnt as impressive as people have built up.
Roughly 1 season between him losing the 3 last January and now, his supporters claim he did well under the circumstances. Well, no, his points total in that time is relegation in practically every season, no matter the excuses.
Stam is more proven then Heck in this league and nobody wanted him.

Being English, young and from Yorkshire doesnt impress me.

However, he is here, not the first manager i wasnt keen on, wont be the last, wont stop me supporting him.

We shall see.

How many times have we been here in the last 15 years or so ??
I'm always sad to see a manager sacked, always glad to see the next one wheeled into the managers office ( or is it coach ? ) and i always hope they do well.

We'll be having the same conversation in several months time I'm afraid...

But that's what being a Leeds fan is all about !!!

Regardless of who came in, TC had to go. He was rigid with his tactics, rigid with his team selection, and discipline shows he lost the dressing room. He clearly couldn't get the players on the right page.

Heck brings a new start, fresh air, and some long lost optimism. His early career is positive and at least he's not naive to the league and the players. I'm hopeful. Still, I thought Steve Evans was the right man too.

I also have a hunch Heck could be the right man for the job after so many false dawns

Time will tell as the key issue is still the glaring weaknesses in the starting first team and the weak first team squad. TC was able to get them playing at a high level for some matches early on so the real question is that can Heck get them playing to that high level (albeit possibly in a different style/tactic/formation) more consistently and to have any chance of doing that he will need luck with injuries and suspensions because of our lack of squad depth. The concern is that with key players gone (sold) at Barnsley he wasn't able to do very much at all. Alex Ferguson was the master of getting more out of his team than others could.

Good point

I do think Heck has much better players at his disposal than the ones he was left with at Oakwell.
I couldn't believe how poor that Barnsley side was when we played them in November.
I believe I have a decent knowledge of championship players as I watch them every week & always make a not of those that impress me. Tbh I didn't recognise any of their players apart from Adam Hammill who looked poor but has been a real thorn to us when we've played the tykes previously.

Yes it's all down to Heck to get the best out his current squad of players
