A certain song I really dislike now, from a band I quite like, is still in there - I'll mention no names!

Bowie & the Stones are two of my favourite artists of all-time, not easy :duno:

I voted for 'Freebird' & 'Space Oddity' in the initial quarter-final round so I think it's only fair to drop one of them. Also I'm choosing the two songs I think will be the most competitive

So I'm going for :

David Bowie 'Space Oddity'

And there are no other punk songs in the semi-finals I've plunged for :

Clash 'London Calling'
Is it just me or does anyone else think
Moggie is starting to sound like Simon Cowell

So after starting with tens of fine tracks, we are left with the dregs, including the worst Zep, Bowie and Floyd songs of those nominated.

I'd have to agree, Gandi, no accounting for taste, eh?

yep, very poor selection of semi finalists. Everything Straits did before Brothers in Arms is better to start with. All Amy's best work is on the jazz classic Frank. KoL are done by the time they released Sex on Fire. Space Oddity is basically a comedy song and we have as Gandi says the worst of Floyd and Zep.

Nirvana has dated very badly,

London Calling and How soon is Now are the only songs of quality left and I don't even like the Smiths ...

Well I won't be voting for any of your picks if we do mega mix 2 with that kind of attitude
Ya must be tone deef.
The two stand outs for me were
1 the haunting soulful majestic voice that is June Macdonald .
2 Sir Cliff Richard and his ground breaking Lords Prayer classic.
Must be some Reet nutters voting Imho
