Leeds v Brentford - Team-Reports-Ratings

Post by 1964white »

Wood & O'Kane definitely out of the picture for the visit of the Bees

Great news Hernandez trained today & will be monitored over the next 36 hours with a view to his selection in the squad. Antonsson should also return

I expect the team to be :

Green

Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor

Sacko Vieira Phillips Dallas

Doukara Roofe

Subs : Silvestri Berardi Cooper Bridcutt Grimes Hernandez Antonsson

Hope he plays Pablo though I don't think Monk will risk him

No can't see it '64 and don't change a winning side though obviuosly Wood won't make it . What Monk does is going to be very interesting . A tight and tricky fixture this one and probably not many goals.
What do you all think?

I think this is an opportunity for us to go and grab a few goals. We really need to start banging them in now as we don't have a good goal difference. This league is so close that the final placings could depend on goals scored. I'll be very disappointed if we don't score at least two at the same time keeping a clean sheet.

I'd say the team Leon has selected is pretty much nailed on. Be interesting to see what we are like at 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1, will Roofe play off Doukara? For me, Antonsson has to get a decent run-out in this game; with Wood injured, this is his chance to make an impression.

I noticed this a few weeks back Swan, only the top 2 are in double figures on goal difference, Fulham are now getting closer but the rest are very close to one another. I think the way we play isn't suited to giving out thrashings, we're more equipped to odd goal win and defeats, that's why Rotherham was so annoying, we had the opportunity there to win by a wide margin and I don't think we will get many better opportunities than that.

About even first half. I'd like to see Bridcutt on as soon as possible, Phillips needs replacing and then our usual second half improvement. Vierra and Roofe leading the MOTM voting atm.

I would like to see Antonsson get more than 15/20 minutes but that's not likely.

I'd have started

Green, Beradi, Bartley, Pontus, Taylor, Phillips, Vierra, Dallas, Roofe, Sacko, Antonsson -

today btw with Bridcutt coming on second half

Brentford just edge that half, mostly because of us not keeping hold of the ball, too many loose passes, Ayling, Dallas and Phillips the main culprits, Sacko needs to show himself more, he's not looking at getting away from His marker. Frantic pace suiting them more than us. Think we need Bridcutt on for Phillips soon to get control of the midfield.
