Millwall v Leeds : Team/Reports/Ratings....

Post by 1964white » Fri Aug 08, 2014 10:59 am

Here we go again with the regular MATCH thread throughout the season

Will be interesting to see Hock's first eleven & formation v Holloway's Lions

Hope the reports/ratings will be much more positive this time round after last seasons drivel !

Please no more Rochdales/Sheff Weds :( oh i've just remembered we'll play the ball on the floor like Rochdale this season :-D

Can't help but think this will be a match of graft rather than skill.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Bianchi and Dawson both suspended for sendings off at the end of last season! INFO

Tho it says Dawson is suspended from non first team games - so dunno if he is eligible for 1st team action :duno:

Edit - Dawson's offence was last March ??? :duno:

Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 2m
Bianchi got a yellow card in each of Sassuolo's play-off legs against Cesena. Earns you a ban in Italy.

Though we played in England??? :duno:

Yes, Irrespective of the country the ban took place, it is carried forward to whichever UEFA/FIFA country the player then moves to.

Put us and Legia Warsaw in the hard-done-by-due-to-a-silly-rule group.

Though we didn't want to deploy all our major talent in one week. Benedicic and Doukara this week. Bianchi and Berardi the week after. Dawson and Cook after that. And just when the media and pundits run out of superlatives to describe this amazing transformation of Leeds, we go all out and unleash the Morrison and Hunt attack force. BANG!

Have a feeling Hock will probably start with the same team which started in the Dundee Utd friendly with the exception of the suspended Bianchi....would love to see the likes of Berardi, Cook & Dawson in there but whether he'll throw them in the lions den who knows, same goes for Ajose & Benedicic, think four of these five will occupy the bench. He may play Berardi at right back & employ young Sam on the right flank. Just hope he doesn't throw Noel Hunt in as Mango fears !

Likely line-up :

Silvestri

Berardi Pearce Wootton Warnock

Byram Murphy Austin Tonge Morison

Doukara

Email from cockaday to Cellino:

Look Max, I'm not sure who I can pick for Millwall game? I don't know all these new names yet - who is banned? Berardi, Bianchi, Sylvestri, Ajose, Doukara?

Reply email from Cellino:

Who the **** is asking you to pick the ******* team, you League five **** ?
I give you the ''******* team sheet before the game. OK? Tell me you testa di cazzo - OK?
You just make sure they are fit.

And you call me SIGNOR MASSIMO, you little ***** OK?

Can't really argue with that as a starting lineup. I've seen some twitter suggestions with Cook and Dawson in but I think you are right with the all-puns-intended Lions Den. A bit disappointing as it's effectively last season's team, but I think the main thing is to get a win regardless of style to get the win on the board. That 3 points banked will help the new guys ease in as they aren't under as much pressure in these initial games.

Here's hoping Morison get's the old club boost?

I am going away for a week today but taking my phone to keep in touch with everything Leeds. I think we will miss Bianchi as he played really well last Saturday, I don't really know what to expect from Millwall especially with it being the opening game of the season when strange things can happen

Come On Leeds!!! M.O.T :scarf1:

Couple of reports of Millwall fans wearing Galatasaray shirts near the ground today, including (if twitter is to be believed) and dad and his no older than 10 son both in them.

Team: Silvestri, Byram, Wootton, Pierce (capt), Warnock, Austin, Murphy, Tonge, Ajose, Hunt, Doukara. Subs: Taylor, Killock, Berardi, Cook, Benedicic, Smith, Poleon.

No Morison in the squad. Can I change my score prediction. :(
