Brum v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings...21 Defeats & Counting

Post by 1964white »

Brum have everything to play for....we have nothing to play for apart from restoring some pride

Good opportunity to achieve a second double this season over a poor Brummie side although we are not better than the teams below us :(

Distinct possibility we could lose half our 46 championship games

Until Sunday I didn't realise how close Brum were to the drop.Their saving grace maybe they have us and Blackpool have to go to Wigan.

The only reason i can see us beating Derby in our final home game is the Rams may have their minds on the play-offs otherwise i reckon we'd definitely be looking at our 10th home defeat of this god damn awful season

Another reason is that its another big game - playing a team near the top. That's a situation in which mid-table teams often lift themselves as they are not expected to win and therefore not under pressure

Can we see a couple of youngsters please? Dawson and Walters starting, Mulhern on the bench. Realistically, it will probably be the same side as against Florist.

Don't know about that Harry as we have only beaten one of the current top eight teams, Wigan when they were in disarray & without a manager until they employed Rosler the following week !

I doubt Brian will be brave or bold enough, he'll play safety first as he's clinging onto his job

As much as I like to see youngsters given a chance hope McDermott keeps to the older players yes he maybe trying to save his job but honestly would any of us not do the same no doubt there is going to be a lot of season ticket holders not renewing if he Is still in charge.

I know we've ended up losing or drawing the matches, but we have played a bit better against QPR, Leicester, Burnley etc later in the season than we have against fellow mid-table teams. So combine that with Derby concentrating on the play-offs and we may actually win this one.

Not that it makes much difference  , but Warnock, Kebe, Byram and Zaliukas will all be missing against Birmingham. Tonge and Murphy have knocks but should be fit.

22nd defeat on the cards tomorrow :(

Nothing to hide behind now Brian, no doubt we'll hear the same old broken record in his after match interview

Worst than Warnock

Not saying I want us to lose, but I'd rather see m'wall relegated than Brum.

With Reading and Leicester as their last 2 games, I think Doncaster will be relegated.

Birmingham haven't won at home in 16 home games.
I am sure we can sort that out for them lol

Think Blackpool will get a win at home to Charlton on the last day.
