Yeovil v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings

Post by 1964white »

The first of four games on the bounce starting at Yeovil with Brighton, Middlesbro' & QPR to follow, ironically the Y's have just completed a run of four away games not playing at Huish Park since 11th January. Fingers cross the pitch is playable & the road network is accessible bearing in mind Somerset has been badly affected with the floods. Tough game if on !

Same team as v Huddersfield I suspect

As you say, I suspect we'll have the same team out. Wonder if our new signing will make the bench?

If we win a 2 or 3 of these games I think we could be in with a shout of the play offs, any less than that and our focus can only really be consolidation...

You're mad

Changing the team after a win like Saturday and reverting back to 4-4-2 which made us look like donkeys the last time we played it... :duno:

Also, as far as I'm aware Tabanelli still hasn't had his transfer approved...

Tabanelli seems to have been removed from squad listing on official site. One of many Ctrl Z's over the weekend?!?

Looking forward to Saturday. Never mind same team, let's hope same manager. Also hoping no more repeats of recent storms in these parts - the terracing at Huish Park is uncovered.

Joe, even if Tabanelli is available and none of us know at this stage whether he will be or not, on what basis would you play him up front alongside Ross ? By all accounts he is a midfielder anyway lol

I would have thought so but judging by last few games and wanting to make us more ' solid ' he may bring Brown back in middle again with Austin.

Matt Smith is available again after suspension so he may consider 2 up top but I would think barring injuries we will be unchanged from Hudds game.

If we lose against these BMc should by rights be out the door because one win in 10 games isn't looking good. I hope he's not unpacked his bags yet lol

Funny old game, last season Swansea were threatening legal action against a European team for an alleged illegal approach and warning other teams off him, now they can't except a blip in results. Very very little loyalty in football other than from the fans.

It shows you how important Michu was for Swansea. They've went to ruin without him.

I think Brian needs to take the pressure off the players for Saturday. Against Hudds, the players had nothing to lose; win and they got a great feel good factor, lose and they could blame it on the behind-the-scenes fiasco. Yeovil will be different because now the pressure is on for them to pull off a great result, for Brian. To make matters worse, the game is televised and we haven't done well on TV. Slightly more people will be tuning in to see the continuation of the Leeds saga, to see Brian, to see if this team that thrashed Hudds 5-1 are any good, to see the talent of Ross McCormack.

Brian needs to learn how to pick the right team for occassions like this and how to fire them up. That is what we are missing, as proved by last weeks results. The team just need to get over this fear, this inconsistency. Can Brian make them remember how they felt last week? If not, our next big result might be with him out the door again.

Won't be easy Mango as you imply, Yeovil ran rings around us at ER even though we won 2-0

Malky Mackay? That would be a touch provocative

Would think being underwater would only help Kenny's kicking downfield.
