Leeds v Huddersfield - Anymore MOTM for this game ???

Post by 1964white »

Rarely miss a home game but unfortunately I can't make this one although i'm not that bothered tbh

Anyway my team to start for tomorrow should be :

Kenny

Peltier Zaliukas Pearce Warnock

Stewart Brown Murphy Pugh

Hunt McCormack

Note I've dropped Byram, Lees, Kebe, Austin & Diouf

Of course McDermott has his favourites & hasn't got the bottle to drop certain players who put in ineffective shifts on a regular basis which will be his downfall in the end as we'll struggle to win matches if he continues with his general mindset.
Managers have to make ruthless decisions in any walk of life !

Kenny

Peltier
Wootton
Pearce
Warnock

Kebe
Murphy
Brown
Mowatt
Stewart

Hunt

Byram and Ross will leave today as the club have to pay a 6 million loan back. If that's not the case then hunt and pelts for the two cash assets

I won't be able to follow this game, as I'll be in the middle of nowhere (though I don't think it'll be a great shame!).

Expect Wells to get a couple.

I'd bring Hunt in for Diouf, Zalukias in for one of the back two and Murphy for Brown. Only other change I can see would be Peltier in place of Kebe, with Byram playing on the wing.

Meh.

I'm of the opinion, and this is a small minority indeed, that we'll be no worse without Ross than we are with him...possibly better. if he goes of course..Byram would be a much bigger loss

You are almost correct with your changes Genghers although the awkward hopeless lump in midfield should be dropped not Brown who has done well since his return to the first eleven, only Warnock has been better than Brown over the last two games

Fair enough, I've not seen or heard the games well enough to decide between Austin and Brown really... More or less interchangeable at this point in time for me, but it does seem like we need someone in midfield who can see a pass/control a ball at this point in time!

Can Brown play 2 games in a week?

I don't really see goals coming from any of our other strikers at the moment though. Smith had a good run of games, but failed to convert some pretty easy chances, Hunt has never been prolific and Poleon's development seems to have faltered somewhat...

The less said about Diouf the better. I was buoyed slightly when McD said he could leave, but in all honesty who would want him?!

He seems to be okay  you know my feelings on young Alex a really good prospect who requires time to develope

I'd bring him on in the 2nd half if needed to replace Brown or Murphy

I would like our manager to remember that Murphy is a footballer whereas Austin is not.

McCormack can't play up front on his own, he drops back too much, so without Smith might as well go for Hunt.

system would have to change with Ross no longer the focus..teams often get better for losing their best player and we need more goals from midfield...We need to play a 451 which doesn't suit Ross but I guess I could put him out on the wing instead of Stewart because I'd like to see Murphy play in the hole..

----------------Kenny----------------------
Byram-Lees/Zal-Pearce-Warnock/Pugh
-----------Brown---Austin----------------
Stewart------Murphy--------McCormack
----------------Smith----------------------

Like that? I don't think Ross plays the Gradel-type winger particularly well (beating defenders, but also cutting in for shots), but I think it'd be worth a try, and we'd have cover for each position. Mowatt could play behind the striker I reckon...

I'd start Zal in midfield ..but basically yes. I would like a winger good enough to basically get free reign
