once again another poor christmas and new year from the whites.the hoped team changes did not happen so we were stuck with the same players who performed poorly in the last two games.McCormack was forced deeper and deeper to look for the ball.Felt a bit sorry for Murphy as he was not the worst player in 1st half.Still we are still in touch and anything can happen,so lets look forward to a break from league football this weekend with a trip to Rochdale we could see a few teamchanges for this game.

Kenny 5 Not a lot to do expect pick the ball out of the net
Byram 6 Still not match fit but a site better than peltier
Lees 4 Did not look comfy but made one good clearence
Zaliukas 6 Slowly we are bringing him down to our level
Pearce 3 Showed last seasons form
Pugh 8 Gave his all
Austin 1 just for turning up
Mowatt 3 Never in the game should have scored
Murphy 6 Unlucky to be subbed again
Smith 2 Well he did score
McCormack 4 looked pissed off and no wonder with what he has to put up with

Ayibi 3 Will give him a chance for a while
poleon 3 Why
Brown 2 Why when we need a goal did he come on(but that is not his fault)

Not a lot to say that hasn't already been said, other than why play Kenny when he's injured?? Surely Cairns can't be that bad that Brian's scared to try him. Austin, who I was expecting probably too much from when we signed him is really starting to look inept. He charges forward like a man possessed, which is good, but then tries a ridiculous 35-40 yard shot when he has other options. We then lose the ball and get caught on the counter attack, his passing is woeful and while he can tackle, more often these days they are mistimed and result in a free kick. Lees, looks terrified when he has the ball and most of the hoofing comes from him. I'm not singling players out, these are my thoughts on 3 of them, I could go on about the rest and no doubt in weeks to come I will.
Kenny 5 should have been on the bench
Bryam 6 getting there
Pearce 4 inconsistency creeping back in
Lees 4 reasons mentioned above
Zaliukas 7 tried to hold the defence together
Pugh 7 MOTM worked hard and tried his best
Murphy 6 didn't deserve subbing at HT
Austin 4 losing patience with him
Mowatt 6 should have equalised
Smith 4 didn't win enough or hold the ball
McCormack 5 always runs beyond defenders hoping they're going to miss the ball

Ref 2 absolute joke, can see why he was demoted from the prem

Wasn't in the game  the only player who looked for space where twice he wasn't found by Ross & Pugh when in acres of room....52 completed passes out of 58. Provided the only shot on target in the first half when he danced around two players before unleashing a soft shot which was an easy save for the Rovers keeper. Smacked a shot against the bar when admittedly he should of buried it. Put in two corners that Smith won in the air only for our players in the box not to react or gamble.
I can't recall you giving Alex Mowatt any credit whatsover, yes he is nowhere near the finished article but at least he is technically a good prospect who looks to pass & move the ball quickly unlike some of our more experienced players

Joe, Rich & myself all gave him a 6, Ldsutd also gave Mowatt a good mention as did many on two other websites i log onto.

I'll respect your opinion EY even though i totally disagree !

Believe me Faaip he wasn't that bad, had he not played we'd have got thrashed 4 or 5

Z had to take every goal-kick & then make a 30 yard dash upfield to get into position to make his next challenge, is it any wonder his performance was affected as he played two roles at the back & had to protect others around him too !

id like to see young mowatt play in the hole behind the striker. He would get in the box and be lethal.

He didn't though. He took some but then Kenny started doing them. I couldn't quite work that one out :? :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Mowatt is always looking to get into the box even from a deep role he is forced to play due to our headless chicken captain continually getting caught upfield , no wonder he is knackered after 70 minutes

Just arrived home Chicago - Blackburn what a disgrace 30,000 crowd to watch a no class team. On top of that it rained non stop - I have doubts if MD is the man to push us forward no passion .

Any way enjoyed my chip butty and bought a new leeds training shirt. Happy 2014

Considering I spent $150( 3) on tkts. New training shirt $60 - food -car park drinks $80. Apart from Ross we were bullied out of game. I don't know after watching that - rubbish no passion always trying to play the ball on left when clearly we unmarked right player available.

Any guys happy 2014
