Brown and Tonge were terrible especially in the second half, I thought Brown had been subbed till he popped up to foul someone.

I know Rudi was not great but at least he was still chasing players down.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Going by your individual scores it sounds like we were on the back foot a lot (?) It was their 6th red in 5 games so it does sound like the manager is having a positive influence

As Marko says we need more investment so that we have strength in depth - Brown/Tonge are not straight replacements for Mowatt/Murphy.

It does feel like 2 points lost, tho'
Blackpool have better attacking options although I thought we restricted them to limited opportunities.
We are more organised & better defensively

I expected nothing tbh so a point is a bonus as far as i'm concerned

This was my first visit to Bloomfield Road to bring up ground number 110 in the Football league, all watching the mighty Leeds. I think it's best described as "work in progress", three sides are good and on the outside include hotel, casino and food outlets but after a walk down a side road your arrive at the away end which comprises of temporary fencing, Portacabins for toilets and 40 foot containers for refreshment bars, all in the open air and then you walk up to the stand which is also temporary made from scaffolding polls and wooden boards. I understand it was hastily built to satisfy Premier League rules when they gained promotion. So I took my seat C81, right behind one of the roof supports therefore I spent much of the game shuffling left and right to see the action.

After seeing the team news I thought B Mc was playing not to lose by including Brown and Tonge. I expected a bit better from Blackpool and we seemed to settle early on and kept them quiet. For me Brown was Brown in the 1st half doing the niggling and breaking up play , Pugh and Peltier both got forward well and Zaliukas kept order at the back. Smith seemed a bit ruffled by their centre back and got knocked over too easily until he realised he had to use his size more effectively after which he stared winning more headers.

So to the goal, great cross from Pugh and Peltier did everything right directing his header straight back over the helpless keeper. Cue scenes of delirium in the away end where several santa clauses dressed in blue fell all over each other celebrating, even Scooby Doo was down near the corner flag going mental. At this point in the game Blackpool were looking like they were there for the taking and we should have pushed on and gone for it, but instead we seemed happy at 1-0.

On to the second half and a different story, we sat too deep and invited Blackpool forward which they duly obliged and when they equalised they could have gone on to win as we appeared a bit ragged and overrun in midfield. As 1964 said in his report, I too couldn't tell if it was a sending off for Broadfoot for his foul on Mc Cormack but after seeing a replay he most certainly should have walked. So 1-1 wasn't a disaster but again we should be beating teams like this if we are serious about staying in touch with the top 4, who have a 6 point advantage over us.

Kenny 7
Peltier 7
Lees 6
Zaliukas 8 MOTM
Pearce 7
Pugh 7
Brown 7
Tonge 5
Austin 6
Smith 5
McCormack 6

Ref: Scott Mathieson 4 Missed crucial foul by Broadfoot

I was in the posh end directly opposite the Leeds fans Rich

You & the 1700 Leeds fans sounded great, non-stop noise & songs throughout the game  even the Pool fans were amused by it all. They were laughing at :

We all hate Leeds scum....baffled a few I suspect !

If you're watching on the telly you're a c***

Some of them took the mickey out of the name Brian when you sung :

Brian, Brian give us a wave

Btw the natives at not happy with Paul Ince

From a Blackpool fan another forum :

"Well just wanted to say that was a poor excuse for Championship football tonight. Thouroughly enjoyed the banter and atmosphere tonight. I have to say I am not a fan of Leeds, but I take my hat off, your away following was immense tonight. Loud and vocal. Great song selection. Really brought our fans in to it. Class response to the Old Bill recording you all too! Just wanted to commend your following tonight. Best this season at Bloomfield Road. All the best for the season. Keep marching on together"

Once again another two points thrown away just like dony cant understand why we did not use any subs. But at least we are still up there dont know how though. We need to kill teams off it just shows once again how much we rely on McCormack for goals.
Kenny 5 No chance with the goal
Peltier 6 At long last a bit of form
Lees 6 Better tan of late
Zalikus 7 Another top display
Pearce 7 Solid as usual
Pugh 7 Continues to deserve his place
Austin 4 Woeful
Tonge 5 Again failed to take his chance
Smith 6 Knackered after 75 min should have been subbed
McCormack5 Sadly off form
Brown 9 Stood out a mile
