I await comments from those at the game, mate. All I can go on, is that Eddie said at ½ time we were lucky to go in level and that they battered us in the first 45. Which was almost 55 with the added time?
Same again for the 2nd half and you could hear the relief in the commentary, when Ross got the 4th goal to settle it. Tis crap when you score three away and still not sure of a win, eh? Seeing the highlights, our defence is utter shyte?

What the hell were Lees & Peltier doing when tracking the Charlton forward down near the corner flag, he must have turned them both twice before easily allowed to run towards our box to cross to Jackson to score who Pearce failed to pick up

Why was Lees drawn to the corner flag area in the first place ?

Van Persie's first hat trick was only two years ago when he was 28, so let's hope Ross hits that run of form. Compare and contrast with David Bentley who scored his first hat trick when he was only 22. If you can make any case for a hat trick resembling consistency, be my guest. Got that little bit of luck that we've lost out on other days, so we still need to improve to ensure we win more games even when luck is playing for the other team. 6 goals from Ross in two games must be filling him with confidence. Brilliant to have strikers (Smith, Ross, Blackstock) who all seem to be able to convert chances to goals.

Loads of the top teams struggled yesterday (Burnley at home to Bournemouth, Leicester and Blackpool at home, QPR etc) so it was a good result for us to pick up a win and pull us closer to that top pack. The downside is a lot of teams below us all won and are right behind us. Heard a lot of people comment "we should beat Charlton" but once again the results showed that there are no definites in this league. 1 point away from playoffs...and this is when McDermott really gets his teams playing. Stuff being realistic, or doom-n-gloom...we've got a real shot this year.

I wouldn't take anything away from Ross - it was undeniably his day. He's banging them in for us now. Let's judge his contribution at the end of the season, but he's at his peak age and this could be his best season. He will no doubt have a few periods during the season where the goals dry up, but he is obviously capable and we should stick with him. Well done Ross and we look forward to more!

I`m not to convinced with our defensive formation and aren`t sure with this the, 3-5-2 set up but as i already said in Brian we trust and bring on `boro and the rest of `em.

Anyone who was there got any player ratings?

We desperately need to find tthe complimentary striker for R Mc. R Mc has always been a player that will score a few goals in quick succession then go a few games without scoring. If we can get the complimentary striker chipping in goals more consistently then all we need to do is sort out the defence and we have a chance.

A quite funny old day firstly wondering if the game was going on the pich was playable at the start though.Secondly Ross answering his critics the best way possible no doubt some people will find things wrong with him but even McDermott is saying he could play in the premiership.

Thanks the worst thing was wondering if we would have to go through the journey all again with the costs that would have made it even worse.Really in the 1st half Charlton looked the better side but then up stepped Ross and turned the game around.Yes we defend quite well but the conditions helped a lot.
