Leeds United hope for £10 million ace deal

Post by YorkshireSquare »

The transfer window for January has been closed for almost a month, but there are still plenty of plans in the works concerning upcoming team transfers. With just with ten more games in the Championship until the season comes to an end, time us running out to get summer recruitment strategies in the door before the next season of transfers begins.

Gabriel Martinelli

Brazilian teenager Gabriel Martinelli is currently the target for three teams: Leeds, Middlesbrough, and Watford.

The Ituano striker’s contract is valued at around £10 million and is making good progress in his homeland. It’s been reported that Boro have been informed of the young player’s progress by Juninho, who is currently running Ituano.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa are also interested in Barnsley defender Liam Lindsay, with the £2.5 million centre back making 21 appearances for League One and has also appeared a total of 42 times in the Championship during last season. Villa will most likely be lighter on the numbers toward the end of this season, with both Axel Tuanzebe and Tyrone Mings expected to returned to Manchester United and Bournemouth respectively once their loans have come to an end. Tommy Elphick finds himself out of contract for the duration of the summer months.

Despite the uncertainty of what may come in coming months, many teams have started planning far in advance, and are eyeing up a number of new signings that could strengthen them for the 2019/20 season, which should provide plenty of action for those currently preoccupied with sports betting and online pokies NZ.

Trevor Chalobah

Chelsea loanee Trevor Chalobah has also admitted that he could possibly be playing for Ipswich Town for next season, with the 19 year old refusing to rule out a possible return to the Portman Road despite their drop down into League One.

The winger that has attracted the attention of a number of clubs, Jack Hastie, has now added Hull City to his list of potential new clubs. The Motherwell man has of interested to Nottingham Forest, West Brom, and Leeds, but has also been eyed by Hull in the last few weeks. Hastie has also hinted that he would be willing to stay in the SPFL, but Stephen Robinson, manager of Motherwell, has stated that they haven’t got any money to offer the player, and it’s as simple as that. He added that they will offer him what they can, but that a few hundred pounds is not going to make a different, and that he could become a very good player if he keeps grounded and improving.

George Cameron

George Cameron is set to head back to Stoke City for the summer. The USA utility man is on a season-long loan from Queens Park Rangers, and has a big impact during his stay at Loftus Road. But the 33 year old has not been involved in a game since the middle of December due to a number of injuries, and the Rangers have begun to slip down the Championship table, with their last win on Boxing Day.
