You will see this line on the bottom left hand corner of the header bar, click on user control panel.

What do you mean when you say 'header bar'?

blue strip above the forums (below the amazon ad ^^^^^^^)

The banner at the top of the page with Marching On Together on it, then you have the adverts underneath that, then the second line under the adverts,you should have ;User Control Panel (0 new messages) • View your posts, on the bottom left.same line as the Logout clicky.
