Havent played 13 yet, but you should check if Genie scout for fm13 is out, and learn how to use that.

It's really bloody hard this time round! Think I'm going to start a new game once I've got more of a hang of training etc...

It doesn't help that we've got a sh!t team and no budget though!

teamtalks are the key, get them right you win. keep tactics very simple and make sure individual instructions match the players ability.

I'm in my 3rd season in Leeds... went up at champions first season capped with a memorable 3-2 win against Scum in the FA cup (all 3 penalty kicks as Scum had two players sent off and finished with 9 men!)

Some interesting things:
1: Went through two failed takeovers before Bates finally left...
2: Tactics are key, can't just play the same and steamroll through... I'm currently using a 4-2-3-1 that ends up in high scoring games. Need to improve the defense.
3: Loans are key... with a crap transfer budget working in a few key loans each season as been key.
4: Focus on the youth... the board will expand your youth recruitment and training a fair bit and if you get lucky you'll produce some top players. 1st year of regens I got a class striker that at age 17 is now a regular in the England U19s and labeled the next Crouch...

First season I brought in the following on loan
Loan - Mauro Formica - Blackburn
Loan - Marc-Antoine Forune - West Brom
Free - Michael Lumb
Free - Enar Jaager
Signed - Daniel Sjolund

I also somehow managed to get Wigan to buy Rachubka for 200K! haha
