Each team on the list plays each other twice over the season

2 points for a win
1 point for a draw
1 point for scoring three goals or more
1 point for keeping a clean sheet
1 point for no yellow/red cards during a match
1 point deducted for a team who incurs 3 yellow cards
2 points deducted for a team who incurs 6+ yellow cards
2 points deducted for a team who incurs a red card, two red cards 4 points deducted

For example if we have four players & their teams

Ges - Walsall
BB - Doncaster Rovers
Gandi - Chelsea
Nick - Man Utd_____Sorry Nick

Official results on the day

Chelsea 1-1 Man City______________Chelsea shown 3 yellowcards
Man Utd 0-1 Southampton__________Man U shown 1 yellow + 1 red card
Donny 3-1 Coventry
Walsall 4-0 Sheff Utd

Taking the scores from the official scores on the day & inserting them into our Fantasy League fixtures/results, they would read :

Donny 3-1 Chelsea
Walsall 4-0 Man U

So the points scored would be

Walsall___ +2, +1, +1, +1 = 5
Donny____ +2, +1, +1 = 4
Chelsea___ -1 = -1
Man Utd___ -2 = -3

Table after Round One

Ges (Walsall) 5
BB (Donny) 4
Gandi (Chelsea) -1
Nick (Man Utd) -3

So as you can see although your team may have won or drawn on the day the result could be completely different in our crazy Fantasy League. It is more about goals scored & good discipline which determines the outcome of each round of matches

I love the idea  I just felt it would be too much work for me especially as i'm not ofay with computing as most are on here. Would you like to assist me each week Hibbi & post up a table after each round of games ?

Do you think we need to include in the table graph where teams gain or lose points ?

Amazingly Preston gained 2 points for their win plus a bonus point for keeping a clean sheet then lost 2 points for a red card & lost 1 point for 3+ yellows ending up with zero this weekend
Preston should have a score of +2 btw gained in their first match so they are mid-table not bottom

I shall include all the points gained & lost in next week's results list & if you agree you could post up a league table for us all. Looks far more interesting mate

Hi Leon,

yeah i dont mind at all, i was going to try and include a Yellow (Y) and Red (R) Card tally in there also. If you want to post up the results as you are doing in its present format i can rework the data into this table format. I spend my lunch hours playing around with Excel and Formulas. So i am more than happy to complete a weekly running table in this format from your data.

if you want me to include the R and Y cards then is it possible for you to show them in your results.

Great thanks for your help, much appreciated Matt

Between us we'll try come up with as much information as possible. I see one of our fantasy teams Arsenal don't play until Monday night so the next Results/Tables will probably be posted up midweek

Thats fine,

i have a written some very simple excel codes that can auto complete the majority of the data, I assume you already have the fixture lists for all the rounds in the season?

If you have this then i could complete the workbook now and it would only need some small data inputting each week and it would auto complete the rest

Alot of it has been self taught,

I remember when as a kid in maths i used to say why the hell do we use Algebra i would never need that in my life.
Excel is basically Algebra haha. I wish i would have listened more during those math lessons i would certainly know alot more now :roflmao:
