Re: Best Leeds Goalkeeper in English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish/World teams
As I said only three defenders there, limited options as I highlighted in my opening post
Aizelwood & Jones were midfielders, Terry Yorath played as a emergency CB position for Leeds on a few occasions. I'm pretty sure the majority of Welshman would want their goal machine JC upfront even though he was just as adept in the centre-back role.
So it was highly likely we'd have needed to convert three midfielders to play in the Welsh defence which would totally have skewed up the voting

You can see where I was coming from now Mav
Surely you'd wish for a competitive Ireland side & not end up with half a team of dead-legs
Just think you are likely to end up with three of our greats Charles, Giles & Speed in your team, at this rate the Ireland team would probably beat England

I'm just saying it can be done and I haven't really looked to see who else is available...Most of these polls you're picking from a very small pot of players and in the case of captains it was a poll of 1 for the first team...We actually had a poll to select Bremner as captain from a list that really only had Bremner on it..

Nope, rather have a team that is from Norn Iron. not about winning or losing.1964white wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 11:50 am You can see where I was coming from now Mav

Re: Best Leeds Goalkeeper in English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish/World teams
not political at all, deffo not about Norn Iron / Ire, it's about being proud to play for your country, you should only ever play for your own country, be that Wales / England / Scotland or whoever.
( plus I think this came accross more serious than it was ever meant)

How about Norn Iron and Wales fielding 5 a side teams??
