Lancashire town/football club, wisdom in the motto, association with owls somehow. The primary colours are confusing though..Black and Gold

Ges - are you putting one of these 'lesser' teams forward as the answer, or was just a sweep across a sizeable chunk of Lancs/Gt. Manchester ?

Not a hat Wilsden, that's the helmet (or helm) as traditionally appears on many/most heraldic style crests.

Hence the Sir Lancelot comment :)
