I should think so.

Been a big supporter of Bamford all year for all the things he does besides scoring goals; defending set pieces, his hold up play, etc. And for all his problems he is 8th in the league in goals scored. Of course, he's managed that while putting only 43% of his shots on target, the lowest percentage of any of the league's top scorers.

Bamford, for me, was preferable to Eddie precisely because of all those other things he does that Eddie didn't do nearly as well. And while Bamford might not be the most clinical striker out there, we are still third in the league in goals scored this year, so we are getting production from our offense; those "other things" that Bamford does are a big part of that productivity.

If, however, we can get someone who does all those other things while also managing to get 50% or 60% of his shots on target, then we should acquire that player as you should never miss an opportunity to improve your side. If Adams is that man, then we should grab him.

I imagine Che would back himself to take the striking role off Paddy.

He hasnt had an easy route in football.

Had to drop to non league as a youngster.

Backed himself to jump from that to League 1 with Sheffield United.

Then backed himself to go from league 1 to Championship.

Then backed himself again to go to Southampton and compete with players like Danny Ings and Shane Long.

He has had knock backs before and come back stronger, not a pampered kid like Eddie (sorry Eddie).

But Adams has had to work hard to get where he is so im sure he wouldn't be put off by having to compete with Paddy.

The poor bloke has two roles - its never going to work.

Striker are meant to score goals, not cover 60 percent of the pitch, THEN get in the right position to score.

He got into the right positions against Arsenal. Five chances, just poor finishing.

True but can't say he hasn't missed a shed load of chances this season. It's not so much about getting into the positions but finishing from them!

3 out of the next 4 at home. We need to make the most of this before some very tough fixtures in February which I think will be a defining month for us.
