I think slowly but surely people are starting to come around to his role in the team. He could do with sticking his chances away but when the goals are coming from elsewhere then his off the ball contributions can be fully appreciated.

Really? He was getting on my nerves, I thought he was biased towards Hull.

Never questioned the commitment I do question the quality ...As long as we don't need our striker to score I can ignore the weaknesses in his game.

Felt a lot of players were below par, but we were still in control for large parts of the game, the work rate for the second goal was immense. This team looks to have that thing that teams who get promoted had. 11 points clear of 3rd is great and I still think we’re yet to see the best this team has to offer. Exciting.

weasel wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2019 9:50 pm The second goal was superb and would have been goal of the season, for me, if Bamford had scored after he helped clear it off the line and then ran the length of the pitch to get on the end of the cross.
Yes but no but yes but how much ground did Alioski cover to get on the rebound off the post.
Was it comparable to the lung busting run that Harrison made to score his goal a few games ago?
Ï will have to check that out... since we were defending a corner I guess he must have run the length
of the pitch as well.

It's funny, I used to think of him as a flair player, someone who could pull out a bit of magic, but often went missing. All credit to him for letting Bielsa mould him into such a battler.

Also worth noting Huddersfield threatened more than Hull. Some defensive slip ups marred what was otherwise a great marshalling of Bowen and co.

Thought Struijk looked promising in limited play, MB getting a little cannier giving his kids (Casey/Struijk) cameos in the last couple of games..

A very poor performance, but we got the luck with the breakthrough and a massive win given the 3 below us all failed to win. How many points has Kiko won us this season? That's Reading, Huddersfield and Hull in such a short of space of time.

Pros:
Ayling
Dallas
Kiko
Struijk debut
Won on an important night
7 in a row
6 home wins in a row
4 clean sheets in a row

Cons:
Sloppy, constantly giving ball away
Phillips, Klich and Costa all poor
Hull got in behind us many times
Hull time wasting and injury feigning
No Nketiah

Thought Berardi was immense tonight.

Dallas, we didn't see a lot of but more importantly we saw little of Bowen, that was down to Dallas, unsung hero type of game.

Yet Klich's carry and run split them open for the important second..Thought he had a good game again tonight

Just watched the Cotsa goal that got chalked off. Hard to see how Harrrison was offside.

Thankfully it didnt count but that is two in two games we have been denied.

Maybe another camera angle will shed light on it.

I'll whisper it so not to alert the Berardi too short brigade but I think he's better next to White than Coop..

I couldn't tell at the time either but Meyler called it before the ball even got to Costa..
