Faaip we need a count up on all the games including the Salford game when you have a hour or two to spare.

I suggest we adopt the same system we introduced last season where those who refuse to post up their full quota of six, the scores are reduced accordingly

Points scoring example :

6 players = 6,5,4,3,2,1 points
5 players = 5,4,3,2,1 points
4 players = 4,3,2,1 points
3 players = 3,2,1 points
2 players = 2,1 points
1 player = 1 point

Without Pablo there is no way we'd have won that game so comfortably

Yes Hernandez had some poor moments but when he pulls the strings we are unstoppable, sublimely involved in all three goals & created other missed chances too!

If White pumped his chest & played to the fans he'd be a cult hero by now, however Ben just gets on with the job impeccably like the professional he is :supbo:
And yet I don't think we're as dependent on Pablo as we were last season, like if the score was level at 60 mins and Costa was brought on he would've gotten us something. We can treat Pablo as a quality player and not a crutch.

Interestingly today our first choice back 4 from last season (PJ, Cooper, Douglas & Ayling) was completely missing yet we look so much stronger.

Early days though and I felt we looked good defensively at the start of last season, and even at the start of the previous season under TC, so the worry is that teams began to work us out a bit more after our first few matches in the last 2 seasons and can spot weaknesses that they could exploit.

1 player = 1 point
Don't wish to critisize Mr 64, but that then penalises the players for lazy voters on the forum,

perhaps this may work.....

6 players = 6,5,4,3,2,1
5 players = 6,5,4,3,2
4 players = 6.5.4.3.
3 players = 6,5,4
2 players - 6,5
1 player = 6

because at the end of the year, some players may miss out on top spot because of 3 or 4 points, and it is not their fault that they only got 1 point instead of 6 for a forum member not being arsed to think the scores through properly in matches...

just a thought :)

does that make sense?? if so can you explain it back to me, as I am now lost

Problem with that is the 5 who miss out on points really giving the one player nominated a boost and kinda giving a late voter power to alter the positions..

We tried the one vote one player (this for Dan) a couple of years ago. We ended up with players that had had great seasons not actually appearing on the end of season collation because he was always the bridesmaid never the bride. No easy way to collate a completely fair system. But this at least looks interesting when looked over..

For 64..all MOTM stats are up to date on the stats thread. I'm just doing league games this year..I'm just waiting for final votes to come in for Stoke to be fully up to date

A system we adopted a couple of seasons ago my dear Hector, much more interesting as Faaip has already highlighted.

Not easy this.

Pablo- 2 passes of top quality lead to 2 goals.

White- Immense, so so calm.

Ali- Scored 1 and helped create the other.

Bamford- Really calm finish and lovely pass.

Phillips- Very assured and used the ball well.

Dallas- Great run for the opening goal
