Re: Today's Games
Since the lockdown, games we’ve really feared losing points in like Fulham (which now appears as one of the most critical results) and Blackburn, have been ones that the team has really risen to the occasion. I feel that they’ll do the same today.
It’s some the relegation contenders that seem to be able to scupper us when we fully expect to win. Anyway, one game at a time - a win for us today would lump all the pressure on the three behind yet again. I would be happy to take a point.

Not counting chickens but IF we go up it's looking likely that 2 long trips will not be necessary.. Norwich definitely and Bournemouth look like they're heading down as well. Here's hoping the Vile follow them .

Re: Today's Games
Lewis Cook should have been an England regular by now, but he can't even get a game for a dreadful Bournemouth team. A real waste of talent.

If there's just a little reminder to not be complacent Bournemouth come from 1 down to hammer Leicester 4-1.

Re: Today's Games
Birmingham doing their very best to get relegated losing 2-0 at Stoke today. Bottom of the form table and another 6 pointer on Wednesday at home to Charlton .
Re: Today's Games
Before we beat the Swans on Sunday I was hoping for a West Brom win against Fulham, just to get rid of one of the chasers. Wanting to secure promotion and then worry about the title.
But now I'd prefer a Fulham win - or maybe a draw.
Would love Preston to get a point at Brentford too.

Same as that, I’ve changed my mind on this one now as well.HarryofOz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:20 am Before we beat the Swans on Sunday I was hoping for a West Brom win against Fulham, just to get rid of one of the chasers. Wanting to secure promotion and then worry about the title.

As it is Fulham can only reach 85 points with three wins, one point ahead of us with a vastly inferior goal difference. “If” Fulham win and “if” we win on Thursday it makes it hard for even WBA to catch us. So here’s hoping Fulham do the business today.

A Fulham victory would be a great result for us HarryHarryofOz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:20 am Before we beat the Swans on Sunday I was hoping for a West Brom win against Fulham, just to get rid of one of the chasers. Wanting to secure promotion and then worry about the title.

From your lips to God's ears
50% of their last 6 games have ended in draws, 1-1, 1-1. 0-0 with 2 losses and 1 win.
and their record away from home is better than their home record.
Manager is Alex Neil a canny Scotsman who took Norwich to the PL in 2015
pits his wits against Thomas Frank the Dane.
As the bard once said "There is something rotten in the state of Denmark"
Let this be a prophecy for the Brentford game.

Re: Today's Games
Gotta be Fulham now Harry. They SHOULDN'T catch us but I'll risk it and pray for a Fulham win. Anything to take some pressure off.HarryofOz wrote:Before we beat the Swans on Sunday I was hoping for a West Brom win against Fulham, just to get rid of one of the chasers. Re: Today's Games
A Fulham win today would be wonderful, but Brentford dropping points tomorrow would allow us to clinch automatic promotion with a win on Thursday.
So let's go Preston!

Re: Today's Games
you can never be up on goal difference with 2 games to play as it can change over those 2 games
if west brom lose by 1 goal and we win by 1 goal on thursday, we go 6 points clear of west brom with a goal difference of 4 better than west brom
but for them to catch us we would have to lose 2 games while they win there last 2....if that were to happen our GD advantage would be wiped out.....the only way we can confirm promotion on thursday is if both brentford and fulham fail to win their next match, otherwise win on thursday, we would need 1 point from our last 2.....oh sooooo close.
lets not worry about tonights match and just enjoy the also rans scrapping for second place

Re: Today's Games
Bright start to the Brom/Fulham game with Fulham bringing an attacking lineup.
Best moment was pre game with Keith Andrews not able to even say Leeds' name.
"Another team" he says instead.
